So we have a single blue post saying that we will get them, and then we have emails from musterbrand saying that we wont get them, and no one is clarifying the situation, even though it's been a couple days.

That's probably why we're "worried"

Ill trust a blue post rather than a third-party company.

Musterbrand IS CCP's own store, Amazon hasnt said anything, so who's the 3rd party here?

Was under the impresion theyre using it to sell their new merch. Still think its a third party.

If amazon shipping is free, and CCP charges, maybe thats why they want us to buy through Muster. *dawns conspiracy hat*

Worst case scenario, both are official CCP responses, and we wait to clear it up. Ultimately its a ship thatll just collect dust in everyone's hangar.

I would imagine it be a simple deal to do preorders through amazon. plenty of other preorder MMOs sent the code right away.

if its such an issue, flag codes sent to amazon as irredeemable/sellable until shipping, that way they cant sell it, and the code/item can be removed from use if they cancel their order. yeah that method could get a little messy, but it would make alot fo people happy.

i know the 30 dollars in shipping between amazon and eve-store is the make-it or break-t for me, i can afford amazon, but i wont have the extra 30 for eve-store for quite a while, and thats assuming my job desnt cut my hours, which they already are.

There are plenty of logical solutions to this, but right now we have no idea because CCP is apparently still hung over from fanfest.

guessing were not going to seea blue post anytime soon for a definite amazon-related answer, since several people i have asked have claimed to have gotten different answers from different people. really dont wanna cancel my amazon order, sine the only reason i can even afford the CE is because it isnt charged immediately, since i currently donthave any money, ad that extra 30 dollars in shipping of eve-store is nasty. just feel kinda bad about pre-orders yo.

Looks like a classic case of public speakers talking about a product before its ready to be released, even as a pre-order. I cancelled my order from Amazon, and will not likely be purchasing from the EVE store.

Maybe in June/July when CCP gets its act together, codes are shipped, descriptions updated, and there's a CCP news article clearing up the mess they made, I'll reconsider, but as it stands, its basically a $150 gamble...and I don't gamble.

bleh, ill give it a week, if theres no repsonse in this thread or elsewhere by a DEV clearing up this mess, i guess ill have to find the extra money to go ahead and buy it off the EVE store, but im gonna be really bitter about it.

stuff like this should have been cleared up before the rpoduct was ever even listed, all they woulda had to have done on the amazon page is put big black bold letters "Does not contain pre-order bonuses, to obtain pre-orders, mke your purchase on the official store" or something.

If you order through the EVE store you get the codes in about 10 minutes.

Right, so first of all sorry for the delayed response -- I just got back into the country this afternoon.

Second, nothing has changed in regard to our preorder bonus availability -- as I posted earlier in this thread, Amazon customers will get the same EVE and DUST items as those who buy from the EVE Store.

Third, the EVE preorder codes were supposed to go out to those who preordered the Collectors Edition on Amazon this week... but apparently didn't. Oops I'll find out the status of that tomorrow and post in this thread as soon as I have a definite ETA. But it is a question of logistics and not any changes to our policy, and should be sorted out as a matter of days,

well, there could always be a bug in EVE by accident, resulting in anyone who cashed in codes for caneled purchases to be mistakenly flagged as suspect anytime they undock, until they buy a CE.
