Well alot of them are camoflouged so its harder to seem them while flying in space. That is nice for pvp. They also only come from LP stores so you feel more exculsive and better then most people. They are definetly worth the isk.

LOL Lol

Faction ships have more base shield and armour and usually one or more extra low or mid slots. This makes them a lot sturdier than their normal counterparts. With battleships the difference ususally isn't that big (still big enough to get one, usually) but for instance cruisers are really a lot better.

Just compare the stats. If you still can't tell why they are better you should probably uninstall EVE and in fact it would probably be best if you stopped playing all video games.

Also navy raven fits an extra missle launcher as well. The extra armor/shield buffer is nice for missions as well, gives safety for no real cost.

I only own one faction ship, a Navy Slicer, and I love it. As a new player it's a rather inexpensive ship that has a low skill requirement and feels like a massive improvement over the standard Amarr frigates. It feels like a bad ass roadster and it punches far above its weight class. I think faction ships, the navy ones at least, fill a great role as a substantial upgrade on the path to T2. Having the option to fly navy vessels makes it less tempting to forgo solidifying my core skills and dive straight into assault ships or HACs.

Just compare the difference between your average Armageddon, and a Navy Issue Armageddon.

More shield hp, more armor hp, more structure hp, more CPU, more powergrid, better sensor strength. And in some cases, not all, they've got one bonus that is different from the standard variant, or two, in the case of the Navy Scorpion.

Can you hear them? They are calling to us. It is beautiful. http://thegreattichim.wordpress.com/

The differences are not in line with the price that's for sure but that's the whole "diminishing returns" thing or whatever.

Basically you can get more dps out of the navy raven which means it does missions faster. For fitting advice check this thread

Navy/faction ships are like having an extra inch on your wang - it makes other people look twice, makes you awesome +1 and gives some nice fringe benefits in performance. Get one!

This, basically. EVE is not built on a system where you can pay 10 times as much and get 10 times the performance. But if you do pay 10 times as much, you will be getting a performance increase (unless you got scammed -- but meh).

In the case of the CNR, you get an extra launcher (16.7% increased DPS and volley), grid and CPU to fit, 25% extra sensor strength, 50% extra buffer, 25m3 in the drone bay (allowing you to use sentries and still keep a flight of lights around), 25% extra scan resolution -- and worse natural shield recharge (which keeps the recharge hp/s constant compared to the Raven with the CNR's shield buffer increase).

I'd say it's worth it. If you fly Ravens, that is....

They also make for shiny Killmail... Let us not forget that! Everyone has a Armageddon kill but you're really special if you've killed a Bhaalgorn!
