Hello,

i have recently bought a macbook pro with and integrated intel HD 4000 graphic card. I dont know if this issue is due to the graphic card or mac os itself, but when in space, the game is simply too dark, i cant even see my ship if i look from above a black space zone. Maybe it is a lightning issue from the mac os client itself.

Is anyone having a similar issue? If so, can it be solved?

Thanks in advance

Does this only happen in EVE?

No, in fact i noticed that this happens in all 3d applications, be it the browser, EVE, and any other games. Although some of these games have options to change gamma. But is there any way to configure the 3D applications' gamma? If i had a Nvidia card, i would know how to do it through the Nvidia control panel, but being an Intel card, i dont see such a thing.

I have a similar problem with darkness. And it is ONLY Eve. I can set my system calibration to brighten things up with gamma but and if I glance over at the Eve window it looks GREAT. But as soon as I click on the Eve window and it takes focus, it yanks it back into the darkness again.

So Eve is obviously ignoring any system calibrations I might be doing for the graphics BUT NOT GIVING ME A WAY TO SET THOSE SETTING IN-GAME.

I could understand it if they ignored system settings and then forced you to set them in the game, but I CAN'T set them in the game.

I am very frustrated. I just installed a EVGA 570 and the card works great but Eve just won't play nice. Makes me want to drop Eve again.

What model MBP have you got as all the new models are dual GPU, so you will be using the Nvidia GTxxxM card not the HD4000?

Try using this app which tells you when your GPU changes and can also force selection of the more powerful one: http://gfx.io/
