"King of Low Sec" - Fly your flag over CCP HQ by blowing stuff up!

As part of EVE Online's continuing 10th anniversary celebrations, we are offering players the opportunity to win a very special prize by making things explode.

From downtime on May 5th to downtime on May 6th, we will tally the ISK value of all kills which occur in low security space. The alliance whose members kill the most ISK value during this time will have their alliance logo printed on a flag and flown over CCP HQ in Reykjavik, Iceland for an entire month!

The rules:
Whoever receives the final blow will be credited with the value of kill.
The ISK value will be equivalent to that on the kill report.
Only kills made in low security space (0.1 to 0.4 systems) will count.
Only kills made after the server comes up on May 5th and before it goes down on May 6th will count.
All kills which adhere to these guidelines will count, regardless of the circumstances surrounding them.
The in-game logo of the winning alliance will be used.
In the event the winning alliance does NOT have an in-game logo, we will figure something out.

that thing is not worth that much if you count minerals only (which CCP probably will do)

I have a feeling that Flight of the Rifters thing is going to have a big impact on a corp's scoring in this...
Also, what if the winning corp is an NPC corp? Like for example half of aliastra going out to pod their mains' titans and multi-billion pods? >:P

^^This. Seriously if we can get a repeat of whatever it was that turned Rahadalon into Friday night fight club a few days ago, then we'd be a shoe-in. Seriously get on the map and check the kill stats for Raha, our bubble is brick red and encompasses almost the entire constellation.

If you read the rules it's from DT 5th to DT 6th, so those don't count

I don't like this. I think that the edge cases this clause covers are too big, and it is possible that you could run into problems with your event. If you'd like some tips on running in-space events, feel free to eve-mail me.

On another subject:

May I have some clarification about the flag-on-the-roof thing, in the form of a concise, public forum post in this thread?

Is flags on CCP's roof something that everyone can request as a prize, or is it limited only to certain players, such as Eterne? What are the criteria for who gets to use this prize to promote their event, if any?

This would be interesting to pursue, if it wasn't a gigantic "Well, if you're not PL/TEST/GOONS we'll figure out a prize for you maybe" blanket statement with no clarification if the non-blob corps should bother.

Still amusing really, I wonder how much an alliance will be paying by shooting each other, (Or alts so their kb doesnt get tanked)
