Would it be illogical to assume that high end minerals will be rising due to Odyssey?

I'm sure all of MD has read the dev blogs and the patch notes for the Odyssey expansion and that we all know the huge changes coming to null sec mining. The only question is, will high end minerals like Megacyte and Zydrine rise in price due to this?

In my opinion, yes. The soon to be large quantities of low ends in null sec will allow null sec industrialists to actually utilize their mineral stockpiles, leading to less being shipped into high sec. (For example, right now I'm sitting on 70 million in Nocxium and 45 in Megacyte, but only 10 million in Trit since I actually use the trit a lot.)

I agree that with the upcoming ore composition changes and the industrial improvements to stations/outposts in Null, more high ends are likely to get used locally in Null. At that point only the surplus of high ends might make it to Empire.

If the broader effects of the resource shakeup, including moons and perhaps ice systems, creates any kind of sustained conflict in Null and Low Sec then Empire might see some shortages of those minerals.

Or shortages might be created at opportune times by individuals controlling sizeable stockpiles. Not that anyone would do that. Roll

Or not.

At any rate we're still a month away from "Odyssey", so won't start to see hard data until then.

No idea how someone sitting on 75m units of noxc could ask this question...

Anyway, no high ends were removed in mineral reshuffle.
They should remove mega from spod and zyd from arkonor, and add iso and noxc

That , and rebalance the grav sites some for distribution.

And the mover for the ore price regarding patch, is battleship restructure.

/facepalm

Those squiggly lines? They're like speech, except with your EYES, MAN.

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

He did say 75m IN nocx, which could be read as 75m isk worth, which means he's actually dirt poor. Blink

I think your requesting something catering self sufficiency and not lateral and pvp oriented integration..

I would agree with your argument if EVE was PvE or a Solo-player game!

the fact that over and under supply occur is what creates the fluctuations and the dynamics of the game, if anything we need more of this. Make a cross integration with Grav sites. Also reusing the alloys in rats. The rats should spawn depending on the total remaining value of an asteroid belt, so when it depletes the rat drops less and less alloys. The alloy types should be inverse of the composition of the roids, so theoretically MORPH yielding in a totally untouched belt in high sec, highly unlikely to find that these day, and high TRT yielding alloys in untouched null.

Something like that would give the option of self sufficiency, but not in a sustained way, and thus gamebreaking way.
