Jercy Fravowitz - Bounty Bot

So, for any of you that actually undock your ships to engage of the fun of ship combat as opposed to being terrible at eve, you've noticed at every ship loss this character places the same 111,111 minimum bounty on EVERY loss IN THE GAME.

I know it's a damn bot, because it's not just some terrible player I've blown up who wants me to remember I killed them. It's everyone who PvP's and loses a ship, pirate or not. Every ship loss inevitably ends up with a "bounty placed on you" mail within 12 hours.

Now, I've tried playing with this, by placing a bounty on myself. End result? Still gets bounty mails. The thing pulls from API killboards and runs a script to places bounties on every loss.

I've reported him as a bot, no avail.

Ban this idiot, it's bloody annoying. I'm half temped to just keep losing rookie ships just so he'll eventually run out of money.

I think he just puts a bounty on everyone. I have a bounty from him and my only interaction with other players is from the forums. Hell, I put a 5 mil bounty on someone in-game because they were a douche in local.

Fairly certain that a bot is defined as something that automates some part of gameplay and results in some sort of advantage over players who do it manually.

Please explain how this is giving any sort of advantage.

They just need to make the [WANTED] not take up the bottom third of your portrait. The bounty itself is meaningless.

i remember my alt pilot getting a 10m bounty for "bot mining" while killing belt rats and the default sansha hideaways in one of them new caldari destroyers.

i lol'd a bit and kept on flying

Confirming that he puts bounties on people that didn't lose ships. Same 111 111 ISKies. Well, there's nothing wrong with being a bastard in this game, but a cheap automated bastard? Meh. What?

You obviously missed the changes that hit the bounty system.
You will no longer be able to make any profit out of it with an alt of yourself because you only get up to as much as you lose in equipment.

20% of, in fact. So, to have an alt claim a 1 billion ISK bounty, you'd need to blow up 5 billion ISK of your own stuff.

Yup, I got one from him on an account who hasn't been on the killboards (barely undocked) for many months, so the list is probably not from there. Might have been pulled from one of those random idle in station sessions (do these occasionally for price checks in major hubs) or from a forum post. Not a big deal either way, but it is rather odd.

Ah, great, another 111 111 isk. Do it 50 times over, and it might actually start to look like there's a reason for that bounty...

Please explain one more time how I can maximize the bounties on all my characters. It seems highsec miners stopped placing them lately even after losing their bil+ implants Cry

I've had my PLEX alt in the same newb corp and laughed about the bounty that appeared on me. I noticed a few other people had them as well, so I asked how many of us were hit in the channel. Jercy actually responded:

He actually answers questions for newbies pretty routinely and is an asset. He just puts bounties on people to screw with them. Apparently he wanders around to different areas and hits everyone in local with a 111,111 isk bounty just to see how they'll respond. Lots of newbies freak out and really think that tiny bounty will get them attacked. I simply laughed.

There is an actual player on that account and he's a funny sort of troll. Roll with the punches, kids. ;)

Confirming Jercy is real person, and that his alt characters are just as skilled in the trolling and pedantic asshattery for which Jercy is so loved by members of SAK.

And if you really **** him off, he most certainly gives you a higher bounty than 111,111. But I think he has OCD, as he will make it a long string of the same digit.

BTW, Jercy, if you read this, I'm a bit disappointed you haven't topped my bounty up to a nice even number after my last few deaths. 2,222,222 was nice, but now it's just some odd number.
