As it applies to ore amd mineral values. Some hisec miners will not go to nullsec.

When their ISK/hour is reduced to an even s***ier rate, they may just finally call it quits with EVE.

If null and lowsec becomes more populated with bait will it not create a feeding frenzy amongst the bigger fish.

Possibly even shutting out hisec industrialists.

For some, any risk is too much risk.

Way, way back in the day, trit was maybe 2-3 isk/unit.

Miners still mined.

Close thread.

Yes, I agree. What they should do instead is buff highsec income until you can become an AFK billionaire with ease. Then, they should destroy null industry for good measure. Just because they can. Again.

Oh, wait, you were trolling. Sorry.

Pretty sure I remember it being less than 1 isk when I started.

and people still mined then. Heck everyone kept telling me back then to get a mining ship to make isk.. last time i ever followed other people's advice.

But think how much they can save on their business overheads by mining their own minerals! Shocked

I can't think of an easier way to cut manufacturing costs by 100% than to use free minerals.

Those minerals are only free if the time spent mining them had no value. Since you cold have sold the minerals you mined, you're effectively still paying market price for the materials.

Highsec mining will always be there, I know a few people who log on and mine simply because they can do study/watch tv/films and chat to friends on eve, ice mining being the biggest product for this as the cycles mean they do less, an old corpmate used to mine for an hour while getting ready for work. Theres nothing wrong with it and a lot of folks see it as semi passive income so aren't really worried how much its making them.

The trick to understanding eve is understanding there are a lot of different players in it, who all enjoy different things and a lot of these guys pay their subscriptions with real money, it doesn't make them any less important than any other player.

Its also worth noting that not every MMO player is capable of everything able bodied players are.

Oh boy does my time have value. 250,000,000 isk/hour.

Given this figure I have come to the conclusion that I should price my Merlins at 10,999,999 ( suggested retail price )

But I will sell them to you at a very fair wholesale price of 7,490,137.65

yes

When I started, all prices was Integers... So, exactly 1 isk is the base price.

1, 4, 16, 64, 256, 1024, 4096 were the starter values.
Then morphite came at 16384 much later...

I mined in the best ship there was, probe, with dual diode lasers.

Even if we presume or output will increase with the patch, it is still a circular argument, either prices go down and miners don't quit mining, so they keep going down, or they go down till enough miners quit/do something else, and prices stabilize.

At the end of the day it goes back to balancing Null vs High-Sec.

There's a reason why researched 425mm Rail BP's go for 40-50 mill. If null industry gets a buff, it'll be the way it should be.
