I think its just you. I personally have never found Eve to be more engaging and interesting.

The recent and current ship rebalance has made all of the skill tree's interesting again, and really seems to have created a new and interesting dynamic in PvP.

Change in moon goo and mining in the near future, and scanning. Very interesting stuff.

Some sound and visual upgrades with every expansion.

More and better options for out of game voice coms, and ship fitting.

And what is perhaps the most well balanced CSM we have ever seen.

Sometimes I wish it was less interesting just so I could get some sleep!

fanfest: oh look odyssey will be really cool.
odyssey release date: over a month away.

it's just that bit of a lull between knowing about all the cool things, and being able to play with all the cool things.

Take a break from the game for a day or two.

I mean, sandbox is all good and well, but occasionally I just like to play a game without long-term goals, games that are just fun. I fired up Team Fortress 2 last night after almost a year away, and man oh man I forgot how insanely fun that game is. Compared to gate-camping or button spinning in EVE's FW, it's like night and day.

So something like that, until you feel the pull of EVE again.

I go through periods of being bored with Eve where I will play other games for a couple of weeks. I've been playing Warframe and Planetside 2 for almost 3 weeks now. If the expansion weren't so close I think I'd consider an unsub, and I've been subbed continuously since early 2009.
