Not sure what the OP is blathering on about, The more I read about it the more I believe Odyssy is going to end up being a net NERF to Null and Low.

How does increased low-end minerals, vastly improved capacity for manufacturing/research/offices/etc. in outposts, increased exploration potential, reduction of elite frigates and cruisers in Sanctums, halved ice harvester cycle times, moving ice belts into depletable anomalies, and removal of the Tech bottleneck and shifting the value back towards R64s constitute a net nerf to nullsec?

Adding elite frigates which scram to FHs is a nerf, yes, but the changes to Sanctums potentially brings this into net buff territory. Removing the superiority of Tech may be a nerf to some but still it's one we've been asking for (yes, believe or not we've been asking for a nerf on ourselves). Moving ice belts into depletable anomalies probably appears to be a nerf to most people, but it's actually more likely a buff to anyone who mines ice. Albeit this does cause secondary issues with control towers and capital ships, but I'm sure that can be addressed. Better train up JFC though.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

Our cabal of nullsec zealots has defeated the forces that looked to destroy Eve in every arena they reared their fearsome heads. From these hallowed forums to third party media sites, from the cyber world of Eve itself to the far away lands of Reykjavik, we have spread our message of hope until the point that now our ideology is on the lips of every man, woman, and child who believes in the future of Eve. Those who preached the message of imbalance, safety, and corruption have been driven back into the holes from which they came.

The game of Eve has been saved for everyone thanks to the valiant efforts of a brave few who had the courage and vision to carry on towards the light of truth in even the darkest hour of hopelessness.

Ultimately I don't really care that much about neither high sec or null sec. However, given the metagaming, forum warrioring and general whining by the null crowd, I kinda hope for a nerf to null.
That will ensure tons of drama and QQ at least until the next patch :-D

TBH i doubt any1 can accuately predict if Odyssy right now will be a net ner to NULL or HI sec, but it definely look loke the ice changes will affect WH POSes negitively in costs.

I'm hoping the Goons economy team will be able to give us a pretty good analysis (once they've completed their emergency adjustments)

WH POSes are a sore point with CCP. They never really thought people would actually try and live in W-space. I have always thought of the people living in w-space to be of a similar caliber to those who live in Coober Pedy. You'd think though that a group that was started in ICELAND would of known what humans are capable of.

CCP in Iceland? EVE HQ is now firmly exposed as Pyongyang.

Yes - I did have to look up the spelling.
