Not much of a surprise, considering ~25% of attendees were British :)

You don't get off that easy! I've bent elbows with British sailors more than a few times... Fisticuffs were de rigueur. P

But... but... the forums taught me that being a bad person in a spaceship game means that i am a bad person in real life, too. A sociopath, even.

Now i don't know what ot believe anymore. Anyone care to help me out here?

Clearly you're only a bad nasty socio-something when you're in-game, or in real life except when in Iceland in close proximity to large numbers of mostly-strangers and roaring-drunk. Then you're civilized, polite, and have a slight OCD-like fetish for cleaning up after yourself and standing in lines.

There, does that help any?

Its easy in the end :-)

people you get into rl-fights with wont make for a good intel source anymore

seriously. tons of fun were had, hundreds of livers endured yet another defeat, braincells were stimulated by interesting talks and conversations and i threw out my months quota on trial-invites on two chars (every taxi driver, customs officer and whoever else non-eve i talked to has one now).

once i recover from the credit card bill, room and flight will be booked for next year.

Glad I could be of assistance!

I will be there next year for sure, got some pics of my Pandas (ally logo) in Iceland having a great time, they even brought me back a QUAFE shirt, sometimes I love being an alliance leader :P

Ninja Edit: Also guard, my story from truestories.eveonline.com was used as an example on CCP Presents keynote, do I get any royalties for this? Would be lovely thanks CoolLol

Ok, as far as I know, I were the only Brazilian attendee... It was awesome!!!

I would like to know who were the devs who were in the front row at the Skalmold show. We had such fun there. I was the bald guy with a goatee.

The feeling is mutual with the local Icelandics. The first day I was stopped because I was a tourist by some college kids doing their scavenger hunt and we had an awesome talk and discussed college, Iceland, the USA and a whole bunch of things. They even showed me where to find cheap food so that was a plus.

I've traveled around the world a bunch and I have to say Icelandic citizens is amongst one of the genuinely nicest bunch of people. The help with a lost tourist and seemingly genuine interest in who we were and why we were visiting was nice.

If only New York City could learn from Reykjavik and treat people with courtesy and respect like the Icelandic folks I met, and especially the EVE Online crew at Fanfest.

Holy hell you guys were a lot nicer in real life than in game, so maybe there's something to be said about EVEO/DUST being cathartic to our inner "*******."

See you in Reykjavik next year guys.

P.S. Guard please do a Dev Blog Video using your new sword in some capacity.
