Sonoran Shadow was founded as a corporation in May of 2011 under the name of Sons and Daughters of the Sonoran Shadow [SNPHX] where it immediately joined the alliance, Trans-Stellar Industries [-TSI-]. During this time, the corporation was mainly comprised of mission runners and a small contingent of miners. In July of 2011 they left [-TSI-] to join the 0rizen Nation, where they continued the same avenue of work up until the destruction of the alliance in November of 2011.

At this point, [SNPHX] had been through several wars and the group of mission runners had become less a PVE group, to more of a PVP oriented corporation. With this new found thirst for combat [SNPHX] established a base of operations in a C5 wormhole system with Freeman Explorations [FRE-X], former alliance member of 0rizen Nation. In the C5 [SNPHX] learned a lot about Anoikas combat, but also small scale warfare in general. After six months operating within the C5 with [FRE-X], they were eventually ousted from the solar system.

During this period of time out of wormhole space, Sons and Daughters of the Sonoran Shadow took a few weeks to restructure into the corporation, Sonoran Shadow [SONRA]. Black Mesa Complex [MESA] alliance was formed along with Freeman Explorations [FRE-X] and Lava Factory [LAVAF] during this time as well. Sonoran Shadows and their newly formed alliance then moved back into Anoikas space, colonizing a C4 wormhole that they fortified and successfully lived within for a year until selling it in January of 2013. Soon after, new leadership came into play and we decided to take on new avenues of play in the world of EVE Online..

The life of mercenaries.

SONRA is a worm hole based, small scale private military corporation that operates in various environments within EVE. You can find SONRA mercenaries operating in three major areas of EVE (High Security, Low Security, and Anoikas). With this, the life of Sonoran Shadow mercenaries demand flexibility and the willingness to adapt, learn, and have fun while doing it. You can also expect to move frequently to many different places within New Eden, as employers aren't in just one region of space.

One misconception with stating we are a PMC corporation is that we only go where the PVP (and pay) is available; this is simply not true. In being a SONRA mercenary, sometimes our contracts have nothing to do with PVP. It can simply be advice giving, logistical support for up and coming industrial corporations, or even mining support to organizations that need that extra man power. So expect a wide variety of playstyles and opportunities to make money when being a part of Sonoran Shadow.
