For the Level 1 mission Onslaught, they are associated with rogue drones, does this happen again any place else?

Strange...

I have negative standing with them, and I suspect that they are somehow also associated with "mercenary" NPC's I encounter in missions, though I can't confirm that.

I'm used to certain factions not liking players because they are friends with factions the player is fighting against, but rogue drones are hostile to everyone. They aren't even a "faction" as such, are they?
