I wanted to watch the Trinity that are amongst my favorite trailers by CCP, but on Youtube I get greeted by this:

This video contains content from Arte, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds.

I kill kittens, and puppies and bunnies. I maim toddlers and teens and then more.

French/German TV company.

Watched the Trinity trailer on another site, curious as to what exactly violated copy-write since it was from all in-game footage. They're either being extremely nit-picky or secretly hold copy-write to all in game footage everywhere.

suppose it "could" be the soundtrack... but that seems pretty dumb...

Time to wardec this "ARTIE" corporation for being asshats.

Running locators now ...

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

I highly doubt that it's the French-German TV company. I mean they make or show niche documentaries like TPB AFK. Why would they DMCA CCP? It is not logical.

Actually, it switches to the next video, so after a bit you see that, not the trailer that is 'initially' linked to.

I hope someone at CCP will take note of this thread, and HAVE THIS DEALT WITH! If not by their laws, by ours.. retribution style and all.. lets have a money roundup and put a bounty on these guys Cool

Copyright bots at work.

I really hope the system gets turned around sooner rather than later so the burden of proof is on the claimant, not the defendant.

thought this happened when I followed the link... then I realized it was the rev 2 trailer (next one in the list, because of autoplay)

That's not enough.

Fraudulent, or even erroneous action taken under the DMCA should award damages.

There doesn't have to be a violation. I think the system is made so, that a mere claim will lead to the video being taken down until the channel owner succesfully disputes the claim. This is because having people varify the claims would take a lot of time and work to do, so it's more practical to remove videos on claims only. Since there is very little practical downside for the big companies to making a few false claims here and there, the threshold to making claims is very low for them.
