Going to Fanfest is a time to see what CCP has in store for the future of Eve and Dust, a time to meet developers and share your stories and opinions and a time to hang out with your internet spaceship peers.

To help hanging out with your space crew, we're going to lend out some board games, make some space for you to play and have some devs demonstrate some table top wargaming (40k) that you'd be welcome to backseat drive or if you want to bring your miniatures, join in.

So I thought I'd give you a heads up on this, simply so that you can bring your favorite trading cards or a small amount miniatures to the venue and enjoy the quieter moments between keynotes Big smile Just be aware that you're responsible for your own property, if you choose to do so.

I support this room, will probably be in it during my free time, and may be willing to lend out some of my army for small 40k games.

I do not support the use of the word "Chillax".

Bring miniatures? Tempting. Question is, how much to bring?

Get some copies of the EVE Online board game in there. When I came to fanfest '09 it was being able to sit and test the game which made me buy it, also it's great fun watching people get annoyed at one another when betrayal's happen!

I might come watch some 40k, though it's been years since I played. GW likes to raise prices far too often for me to stay with that hobby.

So, to bring M:TG or EVE card game decks? Or both?

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

Heh, got a 2k+ points DarkEldar army (4th ed) as well as a M:TG 3rd ed. deck somewhere in boxes, but I don't think I can properly remember any rules. I'd rather opt in for standing at the side and utter various half-witty comments, just to confuse everyone and lengthen the game unnecessarily - often with me closing with "Oh, sorry, I didn't know they changed this rule" :P

Well, they oughta know what to do with them hogs out there for shure.

I'll bring mine too. I just have the self-print version, so can always do new ones if they get lost :) I might just leave them in the game room, actually.

You need to play Battlefleet Gothic with the Eve ship models.

Every time you post a WiS thread, Hilmar strangles a kitten.
