I think the OP is asking from a Lore perspective. I think the real question is, "In the Eve Lore, how many years does a capsuleer clone last? Will a clone grow old and grey?"

Presumably quite a long time in lore, as medical science is far in advance of Earth.

Very wealthy people (i.e. best medical care available) on Earth seem to generally live to 95 or so, and capsuleers are definitely extremely wealthy. As such I'd say at least 150 once medical advances are considered.

In game, you last one day after asking this question.

In lore, practically forever.

In real life, I'm not an expert but It's my understanding that current cloning techniques do not alter telomerase length. So if you create a child from an adults cells via current tech, it will have a life expectancy roughly that of the adult even if it looks like a child. So even if you could digitally transfer your sentience into a clones body you'd still only alter your life expectancy by a couple decades.

Lorewise, a better question is...why would I want to live to be old? I'm a pod pilot. I'm immortal via serial lifetimes. The way I see it, the second I caught a bad case of the sniffles, I'd be finding an interesting way to euthanize the sick body, and jump on in to a fresh new clean not-sick clone.

If anything, a capsuleer would have worse medical services for each individual clone. Broken leg, clonejump. Arthritis, clonejump. Cancer...you guessed it, clonejump. Let the plebes who can't afford clone tech deal with doctors and surgeons and being in pain.

Also, IIRC, there's no actual transfer of genetic materiel between clones. They're just vat-grown bodies formed into the shape we're used to (I seem to recall a chronicle about dust merc not being comfortable in his new body, as it was cheapgrown unsexed and specifically built for ground fighting). Would sure make sex-changes a lot easier!

7.2 CAN I AVOID PVP COMPLETELY? No; there are no systems or locations in New Eden where PvP may be completely avoided. --Eve New Player Guide

Lets all assume i never get podded how long does a clone last until i HAVE to reclone and get new implants?

Clones are made from 50% gene engineered bacon with extra long telemers at the end of the DNA caps so that never spoils so it'll stay alive 4ever Lol
