EVE players can be assholes. As a matter a fact, EVE players are the biggest assholes of any MMO I've ever played with.

But at least you guys care about your game. I play quite a few MMO's and I've never come across a more passionate community than the EVE online playerbase. You guys actually care about the development of your game.

Other players from other games just take whatever the developers give them, no matter how much it sucks. They dont speak up (from what I've seen) and just take the status quo.

EVE players...nope, you can get that sh*t outta here. Boycotts, riots, whatever it takes, but you guys leave your mark. More than anything thats why I love this game. Because you guys actually care about this game and it shows in it's development.

So, please keep being assholes.

That's what happens when your initial game design consists of adding graphics and multiplayer to Elite (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elite_%28video_game%29), and saying "I wonder what will happen?'

Of course you're gonna spend the next ten years cleaning up the mess you made.

In all seriousness, read up on the initial vision for Eve if you can find it, it's a fascinating story in itself, and shows that this player-driven development is very much "working as intended".

Actually, everyone in every MMO is an *******. The reason we love EVE is because CCP allows us to be assholes. Try to be an ******* in another game and you'll get permabanned and the game company will suck up to the carebear tears and develop more "safe" zones or sh*t like that. EVE was my first, and will remain the only MMO I will ever play.


TL;DR It's human nature to be an ******* and EVE is the only game that allows the true exploration of the human condition

Humans start growing from one of them and many never stop speaking from it let alone thinking with it.

Its time to stand up against the bad empire based CEO telling falsehoods about what new characters can accomplish and pushing them towards an in game experience of drudgery and loneliness keeping them in the shadow of ignorance for at nest their own profit at worse apathy towards all the experiences that Eve has to offer.

When I try to convice people in game to go post on the forums to get their voice heard they invariably reply "I don't want to deal with the asshattery and trolling."

And then I sadly agree with them.

Seriously the forums aren't active because people care. Hell I don't care what happens.... I just want people to be annoyed with what I say. So does everyone else it seems.

*As in install/dl/whatever the client.

I don't know about it. I've seen many posts on such occasion say "Google it." and then take offense when the person says they already did that.

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com
