BIG PROBLEM with Amazon and PLEX

Hey everyone; yesterday I bought 3 PLEX from amazon, and apparently it didn't work (?) and they had to refund it- they didn't tell me or ask anything, they just refunded it. A forced refund. Next, I went to log into EVE and my account wouldn't work- it said "invalid username/password", so I tried to log in to the support forum to file a petition, and it didn't even let me go on there. It said I was banned, and didn't give me any reason at all. I've heard that you get banned if something refunds for that, but for how long? And does the skill queue train during a ban? I really need help with this- I want to get the Gnosis next monday, and battlecruisers V will be done on tuesday- I need to get back on and I didn't do anything wrong. I already filed petitions, but I have had no response from them, nor from customer support. Please help. And if a GM sees this, please help. HELP. GAAAAHHHH.

Confirming: Posting in GD will definitely help resolve this.

This is pretty much account suicide. The only place you can buy PLEX from is the CCP website. Timecodes can be bought from authorized dealers. So there's your problem. Only thing you can do now is hope that CCP is merciful.

You can't buy plex from Amazon. Methinks you got scammed.

"GD" is this forum, General Discussion.

You were banned because you bought PLEX from someone other than CCP, which is not allowed. Other resellers can sell GTC cards (Game Time Code cards), but not PLEX directly. Selling or buying PLEX via any method other than CCP's website is illegal RMT (real-money trading) which is against the EULA (End User License Agreement).

File a petition using the client as you were told, they are sometimes lenient toward newbies who don't understand the nuances here. Posting in this forum will not resolve your issue.

The email that you received telling you that you were banned will have a link to a special separate petition page that you can use to contest the ban. There should actually be a petition already made with the 'You were banned for so and so', you should post in that one rather than make a new petition.

For some reason, you can't log into the normal petition page while banned which just leads to confusion.

to the OP (not the goon I'm quoting)

the only thing I can think of is that your (OP's) card was flagged as potential fraud (amazon is insane on digital purchases)
and somehow CCP saw it as a sale and a return which might have caused an account ban for disputing a purchase.

not sure how it works in the case of CCP, I know with regular items you can get a message from amazon telling you something was ordered but not to fill the order yet as they are looking at the transaction's validity. but it either goes through or it doesn't, but then again I don't sell digital stuff on AZ so....

I bought quickbooks the other week and the card failed with a BS description of the issue (something happened, try later) then my phone rings and its my bank's fraud department telling me someone is trying to use the card to make a purchase on some website. yeah... some website.. the largest e-tailer on the planet selling tax software on tax day.

do what has been suggested and use the petition link and describe what happened in excruciating detail and perhaps it will work out to be a misunderstanding, either that or you're a filthy liar and get everything you deserve.

You can buy plex from through amazon from CCP. It does appear that a few people have had problems with it though.

I hope CCP figures it out quickly for you.

My guess is using a stolen credit card connected to an RMT operation is what got you in trouble.
