Compression and Reaction Slots on Minmatar Outposts

Most of these suggestions are to make nullsec indy more viable and lives easier without significantly affecting balancing.

1) Refineries. Give all outposts the ability to refine efficiently, similar to highsec stations. This would make the minmatar outposts largely worthless. To achieve a perfect refine would sill require an upgrade, but would be viable on any station without spending tens of billions to upgrade.

2) Reaction Slots. Add reaction slots, similar to simple and complex reactors, to the minmatar outposts. It would work just like manufacturing, but consume PI products, fuel blocks, or something else along with the inputs to keep the prices comparable. It would turn a minmatar outpost into a viable reaction farm that could be taxed by alliances for income. It would also make the job of updating the reactions far easier for individuals maintaining them. You could queue up week long reactions without the need to swap silos. If you purchased the basic moon materials you could also react the specific numbers you required.

3) Compression Slots. Rorqual in a station. If mining in a system with a minmatar outpost you could refine or compress the ore directly for export. In most cases you could just refine, but compressed ores are sometimes better for transport. You could also add pure compressed minerals. "Condensed Tritanium Ingot" for example. This would completely replace mineral compression through the use of modules. It wouldn't always be necessary but could be a perk for nullsec industrialists.

these are bad ass ideas!!!!!

tritanium ingot? WOW! awesome!

instation compression? beautimus!

i love your ideas! we do mineral compression anyway (as you stated) by transporting guns.
build them, transport them, reprocess them on the other end. its a feature..

but having the ability to compress minerals in station would rule. the rorqual could still be used for field/pos compression, but this would make the game SO much easier.

+1 from each of my toons and each of their alts.. =)

The compression ingots would be really useful for moving large quantities of minerals and as stated we actually already do this with large guns.
Logistics is a major problem in null as you can't just auto pilot freighters about all day like in high and with ice prices set to rise jump freightering is going to get more expensive this would be a nice way to off set the price to encourage null industry.

1. It makes sense that the "Business Outpost" can't refine that well to begin with.

2. & 3. sound nice, but you'll really need to get into the balancing stuff with them and make sure that they're not a crazy terribad hassle on the owners.

A more interesting option for the Minnie stations (IMO) would be that they can dock supers/titans at some kind of external mooring location/dockyard.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia
