I dont need a pregant anorexic whale. Because that is how the new model looks like.

Most of u where pretty happy with these colors: http://www.eve-wiki.net/images/thumb/7/79/Model-Apocalypse.jpg/273px-Model-Apocalypse.jpg

The design was simple, yet elegant. The new design reminds me of this one: http://www.flugzeug-bild.de/bilder/a-300f4-608st-beluga-1397.jpg

And this aint a good looking bird.

The Apoc of old, especially the Navy Apoc was one of the best looking ships in the game. I didnt hear ppl complain about it, at least not more than they complained about everything else.

But i am realy curious if someone from CCP can explain me something:

People have asked for a redone Naglfar model since i started eve in 2007. We where told that making a new model was to complicated. And still, the changes to the naglfar are still only ment to compensate for its lack of a third turret slot.

So, making a new Naglfar model is to complicated, but ruining another of the amarr ships is no problem?

"I don't get that aesthetics are inherently subjective and CCP can't possibly please everyone. I demand that CCP caters to my sense of aesthetic only."

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

I am hardly the only one complaining about CCPs course of actions. Back when i joined this game in 2007 i did this also because of the aesthetics. Especially those of the Amarr Empire. Also, according to the books every ship, gate, station in the entire Empire is enveloped in 24 Karat of gold. I dont see any gold on my ships. Not anymore.

If they change the aesthetics of Eve, they change Eve.

And not everyone here is approving change because of change itself. Not to mention that there are more urgent issues. I still have no answer on my question regarding the Naglfar.

If u dont care about what your ship looks like, fine, congrats. I do care and as a paying customer i have the right to voice my disaprovel of these changes. Eve is losing more and more of its charme. And the amarr did get hit very hard in recent years. And with the upcoming changes they will get hit even harder.

He voiced his approval, which is not the same as not caring. Also most of the redesigns and new designs have received a greater amount of support by far than disapproval. This thread is far more positive regarding this change than not, all from paying customers like yourself. Thus James' response is entirely on point.

While the model itself is better than the old, I really, really don't like the new NApoc. It looks like a slightly greyer version of the regular Apoc, what happened to the blue and black theme? The Amarr navy line for battleships had the best color scheme in game, why would you change it to this washed out grey?

1: The black used for Navy ships is glossy and fairly reflective. This pic is on the sunny side of the ship.
2: Not ready for release yet, so likely not fully detailed.

In the past we also only had one color scheme for a ship available. In the future we will have many variations on color schemes for a given ship.

For Amarr it appears that a standard civilian model will go more with a bronze and tan color, while those more closely affiliated with "royal houses" tend to have a lot of gold on them... which makes perfect sense from an Amarr point of view.

To be blunt, as a 2007 player the lore you are familiar with is not in many cases precisely the same lore that older players read when they first entered the game.

Lore changes and is updated to more perfectly match in game developments all the time, including retroactive changes. In fact, there is a whole department dedicated to doing just that at CCP.

As a pilot of mainly Amarr ships, I would just like to voice my approval of the new designs. The Apoc is an iconic ship, but i like how they've modernized the skin. The Navy Apoc is just pure sexiness. I can't wait to see it in person. Bring on the Paladin!

Looks good but compared to older battleship models in game currently it just seems so much more detailed (same with other new models).

Also can we take a look at the faction versions?
