I remember when Trit was 3.25, how old am I lol.

that was only about a year ago.

And 5+ years ago so it's fair to say it'll be there again in the future.

no it isn't, considering the mineral faucet known as drone poop ain't coming back.

I'm honestly curious to see whether the bufff to null ores will actually satiate the alleged demand of nullies crying about having to import minerals from high, or whether it'll actually have virtually zero impact. I suspect the latter... Even the nullies take advantage of the SAFETY of high sec when they can, and I find it dubious that the buff to the ores will have any realistic impact on them at all. It's still easier to buy the crap than expand operations to include non-pvp'ers to mine in their blue space.

I'm more than willing to admit it when I'm wrong, but I'll personally be watching this closely this summer to see if the nullie whining actually goes away (buff = solution to their problem) or just shifts to something else (typical nullies whining on Forums with no real problems).

Null secers will still have to import low ends to build capitals and supers. The supply will not be near large enough for that. But it may be enough to sustain the few null sec industrialists that will be building the subcap ships. You should not have to import constructed battleships, but they can be built locally.

Currently there is a significant null sec industry. There are many players that already mine out in null. Where do you think the supply of high end minerals comes from. The number is just very small when compared to high sec. This buff to null sec industry will make the current null sec industrialist path much more rewarding, and make it easier for those who want to move to null, but did not as they can make more isk staying in high sec.

I do believe that moving the hidden belts from grav sites that need to be scanned down with probes, to anomalies that can be found with on board ship scanners was a huge mistake. The safety offered by the hidden belts was due to potential attackers having to scan you down before they can attack. This required them to gimp there fit by dedicating one of there high slots to a probe launcher. Very few roaming PVPers do this, making null sec grav sites fairly safe to mine in.

You never see a miner in a static belt in null sec, not just because the static belts generally do not have A,B,C, ores but because it is not safe enough to mine them. Now the hidden belts are almost as insecure as the static belts. This will hurt null sec mining far more than any benefit gained by the ore composition buffs.

Yeah, I can see rare ore prices going up A LOT. I think honestly the addition of low-end minerals may be the lesser reason. This is going to increase the danger of mining in null and W-space a lot. People are going to be losing ships left and right, or they are going to spend a lot of time hiding.
