Ok, now I see we have all kinds of rigor/flare setups here. Let's talk about which has the best damage application.

1. 2 rigor T1 + 1 rigor T2
2. 2 rigor T2 + 1 flare T1
3. 1 rigor T2 + 1 rigor T1 + 1 flare T2
I use option #1, but believe the math would show option #2 is better. All of them are fairly close

Regardless of ISK, the fit I'd use for a CNR is:

CN BCU
CN BCU
CN BCU
CN BCU
Damage Control II

Pith A-Type Large Shield Booster
Gist A-Type Resist
Gist A-Type Resist
RF Target Painter
RF Target Painter
Imperial Navy Heavy Capacitor Booster

CMII & T2 Ammo x 7
Drone Link II

T1 Flare
T2 Rigor
T2 Rigor

Hobgoblin II x 5

You could spend more ISK, but why? You won't see the cost reflected in performance. This fit is pretty much max DPS. You could swap out the DCII for a DDA on a per mission basis, otherwise pretty sweet IMHO.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose

With T2 ammo I think Option #2 is best.

I see some Micro Jump Drive fitted on some fits, I haven't tried one, but I don't see why you'd use one? It jumps you a fixed 100km right? So it's no use for gate crawling which is the only reason I fit a prop on my Raven. Surely jumping further away from the battlefield is pointless as then your TPs are in deep falloff and volley counting is a nightmare, it can't be to help tanking as a regular setup would tank it fine just sitting there, and you're not saving any slots with the MJD either. On top of all that you then have to MJD back and slowboat to the next gate?

Is there something huge I'm missing here?

MJD allows you to exclusively fit gank and not worry about tank since it propels you away from most rats' optimals

Thank you very much you wonderful people.
But alas, a Faction/Officer CNR is a pipe dream for me, least I have something to aim for! Roll

Officer fit missioning BSs aren't a good goal, more like something to avoid at all. It will just get you ganked while you'll have little to no performance improvement out of it.

Keep in mind that PvE boat is an investment and if all the revenue goes into improving it, it kinda kills entire reason to have one (unless it's a goal on its own because you can). Remember that it will take forever for overblinged boat to pay itself off when compared to something like "T2 + faction damage mods" fit.

Also, I love how everyone came up with PvE fits even though OP said "solo", which usually implies... Well, something people don't really do in Navy Ravens Big smile

Although it seems that PvE fit was exaclty what OP meant.

P.S. "ISK is no concern" in OP and then "faction fits are pipe dream" in the next post? Erm, excuse me?

"Say" That was the word I used before I posted the question, implying that IF isk etc was no concern. But sadly, it is. xD

Only after every tree has been cut down, the last river poisoned, and the final fish caught. Only then, will you find that money cannot be eaten.

A regular fitted Raven already has max gank, you can maybe fit another TP (which will be in deep falloff and thus not work most of the time) but that's it, not to mention volley counting/waiting for them to hit means you'll actually lose some dps.

On gunboats you'll have to operate with longer range ammo which will reduce your damage meaning that any extra gank modules you fit will be cancelled out by having to use lower damage ammo (or drones).

I guess its good for noobs with bad cap/tank skills but I've never had any problems tanking just sitting there and blowing everything up.

You can sell the modules/ship.

Well the thread title does contain "L4": "Ultimate Solo Navy Raven L4 Fit?"

*Cringe*

Please open EFT and calculate what each additional CN BCS is adding to your dps.

Running L4s the tank required is limited. Further, running L4s efficiently means blitzing through them.

You really dont require 2 TPs and 3 Rigors to kill every single frigate in existence, unless your going Full Ret@rd and killing every single rat in a L4.

Save yourself some ISK, buy and blitz L4s in a 500m Tengu. Profit.

Fits posted in this thread with zero prop mods are especially cringeworthy.
