the same thing just happened to us!...

I was getting called off to play League as well (that game needs to be made less addictive...) But i was like meh, i'll scan out our chain, why not? I scan out the c2 from our static and look in.

i hit scanner and see an ishtar, a Tengu, a scythe, and an orca on scan. They're all piloted but afk, when i check their statics and see they have a hisec. I start scanning out the hisec when my friend in his Proteus, sitting on the connection to our static calls out that probes are out. I'm thinking that it's possibly the tengu or the ishtar, so i keep scanning to act like i don't notice anything, when he calls out that the ishtar landed on grid with him on the connection to our static. this is about the same time that i land on grid with the hisec hole and BM it. wondering if it's a trap, we wait to see what the ishtar does. He eventually warps back to his pos, and the orca and tengu start moving. Wondering whether they were going to roll the c2 connection, we wait to see if the orca goes to the c2 to roll it. Instead, he moves to the hisec and begins to roll. we both go WTF and he warps to me, waiting on the orca. Suddenly the tengu and ishtar follow through to hisec. At this point we're both wondering what is going on, when we notice the hole is already half. We couldn't believe our luck; they were rolling a hisec hole already half with an orca. He waits out his polar on the other side (smart...), then we see flare and assume it's the orca. we decloak and get ready for a fight. Turns out, the orca, tengu, and ishtar all jumped at the same time. The orca immediately jumps back out and crashes the hole, leaving his tengu and ishtar tackled and dying. They warp their scythe to grid, but he's dualboxing the tengu and isn't paying attention when i land on the scythe and blow it. we wind up killing their tengu, ishtar, and scythe for no losses, and about 700m in kills. This is just me in a loki and a friend in a proteus.

And that is why scanning out the chain for fights is always better than rolling your static. They were super nice about it and even complimented our tanks. Just another small WH group looking for a bit of fun. props goes out to the tengu pilot who tried to dualbox his logi.

Will link kills when i get home, e-kill doesn't work here. The ishtar pilot told us that he had come in from the hisec originally to drop off some ded loot he had from lowsec. ;~;

Pray tell, how shiny? just so i can wallow in my sad corner of space and cry bitter tears of disappointment. My 2nd loki is looking at me with forlorn eyes, wonder when i'm going to stick something green or blue on it.
