Your asking the biggest troll community to take a survey? Nothing could go wrong.

Can't wait untill when Eve online is Freemium. WiS only 10$, SP booster for one month 15$, DPS Boost 2$, EHP Boost 2$ Real money trading hub! Cosmeitic ship skins 15$ --> If you don't pay **for a product, you ARE the **product.

That is very true and exactly the point. It sucks that the interesting thing about it is probably also the thing that makes it most complicated to study in return.

Do you feel that your survey may be biased towards more social, helpful people who would self-select themselves for your survey?

This. That type of bias tends to come inherently with opt-in experimental designs.

Yes. However, you cannot really do human subject research and publish your research with using deceptive methods (for a good reason). Therefore, almost all of our studies have that bias and it is important to be considerate of it.

It's not an experiment in the colloquial sense, though, and also not an experimental design :)

Thanks to everyone who participated and/or gave me valuable feedback!

I ran some preliminary analyses of the data and looks like there actually are some quite interesting results. As soon as I made sense of what exactly is going on, I will post or link to some results!
