A Huge post-Fanfest Thankyou to CCP, from Pandemic Legion.

if i get the job im looking at getting, i might try and do fanfest next year, or 2015..

It sounds like a blast, its just so expensive getting there from australia /sigh

Yep 76 of us went to iceland, PLUS 1 extra waffle, 4 Members from iceland.

So much talking, laughing, empty pubs and restaurants turning into party central when we appeared.

The only other group anywhere close to us was the a Wormhole group @ 46 iirc, but since they where multiple alliances it wasn't quite the same effect.

One quick story:

Friday Night:

After a failed rugby tackle attempt on Glorious PL FC Hedliner, who was watering the local plants, drunken Icelandic PL member Hlynurth landed himself in Hedliners ****, He had to burn 200 clicks at him across a street with zero transversal (I was there, it felt so real).

As a glorious PL FC Hedliner showed hlynurth how its done by successfully tackling hlynurth and once again landing hlynurth in someones ****, this time however it was his own.

A few moments later, hlynurth promptly chugged in a corner, twice, and most likely plotted his revenge.

Cornered in a pub with no name (no memorable name to drunken PL members) Hedliner was surrounded by blues and feeling safe, a few drinks later and ill-advice from hlynurth was well received by hedliner.

Some snuz/snooze (local icelandic usage of tabacco) was given to him by 2 of our Icelandic members (hlynurth and wrendarr (waffle)), shortly later the effects where being felt when hedliner was failing to make coherent sentences to the Icelandic chick who was VERY interested in him (you failed bro, ask captnmorgen where she ended up :D).

Literally escorted and carried back to his hotel by 4 of us.

Score:

Hlynurth: 2

With the help of a few other members, we've managed to just about remember/figure out who everybody is. :)

I was there, fresh in PL and was amazed by how this bunch of fellow nerds are so friendly :)

It was crazy to see so many of you here! It'll be interesting to see if anyone breaks the PL record in the near future.

Thankful and humble that so many of you guys come out here year after year and I hope all of you come back next Fanfest. And I hope you write down more of the stories of what happened, at least the ones that are somewhat suitable for print :D

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

Meh, the picture was originally created as an image for use internally. Just because Seleene went to CCP and became Abathur, doesn't mean we didn't all stop calling him Sel. Raivi is still Raivi, even if he's no longer in PL, and now uses a CCP Name (it's not like his pre-CCP name was a secret, due to him being on the Alliance Tournament multiple times).

@Melodie - I never saw the stream. :) I'd have been surprised if there wasn't a lot of footage all things considered. Having ~70+ people there, plus things like 3 EVE tournament teams, 1 DUST/EVE Tournament team, a place on the Alliance Panel, 2 CSM members and a PVP Commentator would have inevitably meant that there was a lot of people that would have been shown.
