1) Ice still exists after Odessey....

2) Ice can still be afk mined, albeit not for weeks on end after Odessey....

3) More isk per m/3 due to finite reserves after Odessey....

4) ^^ means less mining for the same isk

5) Faster cycles per minute means less time having to put up with mining ice for towers...

I dont know.. seems to me the new order has amounted to nothing short of inspiring "counter-bumping" as an emergent gameplay....

Eve is about Capital ships, WiS, Boobs, PI and Isk!

Ah yes, the ol' "gankers ruin ganking" argument.

I don't think that is simply what happened. "Suicide Ganking" was the one of the first un-intended Emergent Gameplay that appeared, up there with can flipping, and CCP realized that these were subjects that needed looking at.

For that matter your Alliance is blatantly stating that "Miners ruined Mining" and that you guys are the only way to fix it. CCP has finally decided that Mining has issues and it's now getting looked at.

If CCP stated tomorrow "ALL mining Bots in EVE have been removed and we have made it impossible for people to use scripts to mine" you guys would NOT close up shop and stop what you are doing, you would state that it's impossible to not AFK mine because no one can look at at beams hitting an Asteroid for hours.

I don't mine, but I could easily dual screen at work and mine 8 hours a day straight while doing other work. I would not be AFK, and I would not be botting, but I would still annoy people like you, and you would still hunt me, because the hunting is what you want, not changes to the game.

Quoted for the fact these words ring truth...

It's human nature to want to explore. To find your line and go beyond it. The only limit, is the one you set yourself.

This makes me remember an Iraqi official during the 2nd invasion of that country, proclaiming to the media that they were winning and even crushing the coalition forces. We all know what REALLY happened during that conflict.

How can you say that when AFK moon goo operations are being expanded so greatly with Odyssy? Ugh

A. Because moon goo isn't AFK, it's logged out. If you figure out a way to mine ice while logged out that CCP is ok with, then I am confident I can get you New Order approval for it.
B. There are a number of moon goo towers currently, call it X. The number of moon goo towers after Odyssey may well be less than X, in my opinion. Are you personally guaranteeing otherwise?

A: Logged out AFK is even more AFK then logged in AFK, duh Roll
B: Patently wrong look at the mechanics you'll need more towers due to extra reaction added.

Face it If anything this expansion is reinforcing the AFK moon goo teat with 200 afkable resource rich new moons.
This expansion is really a nerf to HI SEC AFK and a BUFF to NULL SEC AFK

I do not mine, nor do I gank or go near miners.

I had as much to do with the coming resource shift as James aged 13 and a bit, and his ego.

Nope. Roll

Is this a normal type of response for you? If you say someone's asleep, and get a response: "He's not asleep man, he's dead", do you respond "Dead is even more asleep than asleep, duh Roll" ?

The common definition of AFK is "logged in, but not sitting at the computer paying attention to it" I frankly don't believe that you log off for the night and tell your corpies "going afk".

No towers are *needed*, actually. People are free to decide not to put up towers to mine moon minerals. the question we were discussing was: will there be more towers, or less towers; I notice that you're evading the question of whether you're personally guaranteeing there will be more, but instead making mocking and irrelevant insults, to disguise your lack of argument.

Moon goo isn't AFK, it's logged out. Not every moon currently has a tower, so adding 200 more moons doesn't automatically mean there will be 200 more active towers.

I would go into how the real game balance issue with moongoo isn't actually number of towers, but total profit available and distribution thereof, but we aren't making progress on the number of towers issue so perhaps we should finish that discussion first.

It doesn't matter if he logged out or is logged in... He is not at his computer while making money, which is AFK money making like miners just on a larger scale.

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

Actually it does matter :)

When you're AFK, logged in and in space you can be blown up. When you're docked up, logged out, and AFK, you can't be blown up.

Do you see that as a meaningful difference, or not?

Yes I see a big difference. Moon Mining is a much worse form of AFKing then AFK Mining.

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

Ok, we agree there is a difference; glad we could resolve our disagreement and agree that I was correct.
