Bumping Graphics Update Please

Instead of ships just flying away from each other when bumping, can we have a visual effect?

Keep bumping mechanics exactly how they are, but add some sparks or arcs of electricity from one ship's shields to the other, which implies magnetic/electromagnetic repulsion. Might just add a bit of realism or immersion.

btw I love the new jump graphics

I always thought that bumping was the ships automatic computers avoiding each other, but hey I don't know for sure.

A bumping graphics update would look cool, but not sure how it would benefit the game.

I think it was explained away with how the warp drive works (which is always online and can't be turned off without a spectacular explosion), which is also why EVE space feels like it has the viscosity of WD40. Something about subspace drag and other trekspeak.
