Bitterhub - A station only accessible to 10yr subscribers

When I first started playing almost seven years ago, a "Blade Runner" atmosphere was prevalent in the art for the game. The various chronicles were darker and deadlier. One of my earliest missions for the Caldari Navy was to supply their pilots drugs. I remember seeing "Prostitutes - a bad woman." as an item. Upon logging into the game - before the launcher - there was no rating system for the game. The players as a whole appeared more mature without needing a barrage of swearing to appear as an Internet tough guy. Hell, kill boards were not something players actively farmed.

Over the years, CCP has moved away from all that while the players seem to become less mature since the animosity of the Internet can hide them. For a sandbox game, there are many elements on the darker side of humanity that will never see its presence in the game. In the long run, it is probably better for the longevity of a game that is, in my opinion, moving from a niche to a main stream market.

Perhaps we all misunderstood and this new station is for ten year old real life subscribers instead of the ten year anniversary adults.

I had this exact thought. Seems like a place where gankers will love to hang to get those exclusive kill mails. No 10 year vet will undock in anything besides a frigate lol.

Most 10yr vets don't undock in anything other than a frig when a gank squad is outside anyway. Smile

Unless, of course, they intend to capitalize on the fact that they can dock and you can't... and turn your cute little camp inside out. Big smile

It really should only be for 2003 accounts, if they're going to do this, at all. As much as it pains me to say it.... but, the most loyal should be rewarded for helping build a completely player-driven world. If you stick with ANYTHING for ten years, there should be some respect for that kind of dedication, considering that quitting is now a national pasttime....

I played LOTRO beta, guess what it means... nothing. If you want a bittervet station in eve, go rent sov then only let 2003 toons in. If you want something in eve, then go and ******* take it. Even the biggest null sec alliances earned their **** and started with one person. You don't get some bullshit reward for having an account the longest, that's like giving a perfect attendance award. Someone should make a list of people who want this system implemented, if any of them call miners or bears entitled, bam! call them on that bullshit. You don't get jack **** in eve when you start out except a cruiser some ammo and big fat "go **** yourself", why in the name of **** would it give you something for being an old toon?

Your reward is you get to play a game like eve and say you made it through the hardest parts.

Oh, and uber-buff the belt rats in the Bitterhub system, so we can remember what it was like to have to bring 5 mates with to kill an normal NPC bship spawn, cuz we can't do it, alone... :)

Inflating the ego ever so slightly by some acknowledgement is already nice :>
