EVE is ten - free gifts - no gnosis

On one hand, cool! Free stuff!

On the other hand, why are we getting development time put into limited edition random marketing stuff that's mostly a novelty, instead of new ships that we can actually build/LP/whatnot? If the Gnosis, Apotheosis, etc, were available via the SoCT LP store, then you'd have something new and funky-- faction scanning ships.

Just have to step out of the straightjacket of symmetrical development.

Not sure what you mean. The bonus remap was an option there, yes, and I took it.

I am pretty sure they said on the stream that every active account gets a Gnosis. As for the other stuff, dunno about that.

If you order a Collector's Edition of EVE merch, one of the things you get in the package is a 5-run Gnosis BPC

i dont think anyone is really complaining about getting the gnosis, it looks amazing and i plan on losing a couple of them in a fire as soon as i can. What i was upset about was thinking i might not actually get them and get the magnate instead.

I wasn't really directing that rant specifically at you..... just a generalized statement, because there are a lot of whiners around, this year.
I mean, really, there's always a good chunk of the playerbase that gripes up a storm about the gifts, on every EVE Birthday, but this year it just seems worse than ever. Or maybe I just haven't had enough rum...

This is a perfect demonstration of a major problem in the EVE community, we are extremely spoilt. Why do we think we get to dictate what CCP do with their development time at all. This game has been around for 10 years giving us more and more content every year and for that we should all be extremely gratefull. Yes we pay a monthly subscription but i would be happy to pay that just to keep servers up and allow me to play with friends. To be able to recieve a free expansion every 6 months along with free gifts is awesome. Im happy for CCP to spend development time on other projects and games because they have shown themselves to be solid and reliable developers who make excellent products.

We get a Gnosis regardless. It is the other items that depend on how many FB likes they get. So if they get X amount of likes, everyone get a Genolution Core CA-1 Implant, and then if we get Y amount of likes we get an in game shirt, and so forth. The more likes they get, the more we get. Gnosis is given out to all active accounts regardless

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

I love that idea, please take it to Features and Ideas. I would happily sacrifice the unique nature of the Gnosis to have it in an LP store so that people could actually enjoy it without worrying about it going extinct.
