I would like to share with everyone an email sent to James 315 along with a challenge!


James,

I humbly accept the Sextuple Supreme Protector's Tip of the Hat™ for the single investment of 6 billion isk, making me the new top shareholder of the New Order in one fell swoop. However, as you said, an isk doubler's work is never done.

I have long admired the work you have done to combat criminal mining operations. I was thinking I would continue investing on a regular basis, while shares are so cheap. Perhaps this would be a billion isk a month, or a set percentage of profits such as 10%. However, I have come to the only logical conclusion. It is clear to me now.

Being Eve's best known honest isk doubler, and having seen my tips to my bounty increase more than double since my first investment, I now know what I must do. I must double my investment of course! This morning, I have made a purchase of an additional 6,000 shares.

Please use this investment however you see fit to strike fear into the hearts of illegal miners. Of course, fear is not necessary if all miners in high sec will simply visit your Eve mining education website, read and follow the Code, and purchase the required number of mining permits.

I do implore you to please consider increasing the price of mining permits. 10 million isk is far too cheap for all of the benefits provided. Perhaps 10 million is fair for mining frigates. But surely barges should pay more- perhaps 50 to 100 million per permit. Orcas, which provide benefits to multiple mining vessels, should surely pay for a special permit no less than 200 million per permit. This of course makes perfect sense as the only reasonable way for us to stand up and nerf the proposed changes ourselves that will come in June.

Also, as I previously stated in prior communications, please vote my shares as you see fit. I cannot pretend to know better than the Saviour of High Sec himself what is best for operations moving forward. My strength is earning isk through my legitimate isk doubling service rather than suggesting what to do on the front lines. Though I do wonder if it would help if the code be amended to require all mining ships to fit and activate one smartbomb at all times when mining. Code compliant pilots would have nothing to fear, as they would always be at their keyboards to avoid collisions with other ships.

Rest assured that this shall not be my final investment. I will also continue to refer miners and aspiring miners to your website. I still don't see why anyone would want to be a miner, but that is a debate for another day.

CHALLENGE ISSUED

I hereby challenge all of my competitors in the isk doubling business to exceed my own investment in the New Order. It has been troubling to hear reports of people sending isk to an isk doubler only to receive nothing in return.

Further upsetting me are reports that many copycat troll isk doublers are making false claims regarding their assets and honor. Just last night, one such troll was yet again wasting keystrokes (all in caps) to paste his message over and over, with barely a break to rest. I opened a trade window with the doubler offering 25 billion isk if he could just sent 5 billion. Instead, I heard babble about doubling his body parts (not suitable language for this family-focused forum.) Clearly, this is a miner who has lost his ship and all his isk.

If you run across an isk doubler and are unsure of his honor, here are some steps you can take to help protect yourself:

1. Open a conversation to confirm that the doubler is in fact at his keyboard.
2. Ask questions of the doubler. No honest doubler should fear answering questions.
3. Ask the local community what their experience has been with said doubler.
4. Research your doubler on the forums and internet, just as you would for a handyman, doctor, or lawyer, etc.
5. Ask your doubler for references. A legitimate doubler should have plenty of references.
6. If your doubler has specific rules, read the rules and understand them. It is not the doublers responsibility to ensure you read and understand.

As you can see, dealing with isk doublers is very much like dealing with miners!
