The 3 targets of CSM 8

Watch how high sec burns, as this group can do more damage in an afternoon to high sec than any ganking campaign by sociopaths can do in a year.

The 3 goals of this CSM, in no particular order are :

1. Wiping out high sec incursion income by at least half.

That one is easy enough to do, and can be accomplished by changing about 8 static variables on payouts (4 size classes, LP and ISK/ each size class). The wh group of course is all for it, since it "convinces" members of wh groups who make marginal income (by wh standards) to return to their wh groups, and the same goes for wh players of rich groups who were not getting their fair share of the blue loot and left them. The null sec contingent, are actually more ambivalent about this since a large number of their player base are far too incompetent to take advantage of the riches of null, and run Incursions now. However, null will need / attract a lot more miners now making Incursion-like money, and when those people start returning to null, that means null will have no further use of high sec incursions, and will then allow CCP to slaughter the ISK / hour.

2. Removing T2 production from high sec.

Greyscale and soundwave are both on record in these forums about their desire to remove T2 mfg from high sec. Given the the additional mfg slots now available in null, it is only natural that null sec will encourage this, since there is no longer any impediment to production there. This will create another huge income stream for the cartel leadership, as they will have the ability to skim off the top using science and mfg slot taxes. If T2 invention is removed from high sec, people will be forced to use the station invention slots.

3. Destroying L4 mission income.

This won't be through an overt reduction in payouts (though soundwave was interviewed at last years Fanfest and was openly mulling it over.) It is more likely going to be through the mantra that "Eve is a MMO, and solo play is bad, therefore missioning should be made more like PvP and we will increase the rewards, while significantly increasing the difficulty" (again, as the AI changes in December already smashed L4 income). Of course, any experience player knows that running sites solo is far more profitable than teaming up. Even in 2 people went into a site with the twice the rewards, their individual income goes down as their are always redundancies. This is the same reason that null sec players rat solo, but that fact will be buried under all the upcoming propaganda and null sec ratters will be left alone to rat solo in their carriers in deep sov enclaves.

There are supposedly 1 high sec member of the CSM, a 2nd one that COULD be, (RvB) candidate, and Trebor, who seems to actually care for the entire game. These are the only people who can fight against this ongoing attack. But I believe they will be drowned out by the braying of the remaining 11, who will work directly with the game designers and devs who have been plucked straight from the very null sec cartels that benefit from these attacks on high sec.

Oh, and for those that think that the replacement of passive income from static moon goo with active ring mining is happening soon, think again. CCP just wasted how many programmer-weeks building some idiotic new exploration mini-game, when they could have instituted a complete removal of static moo goo operations instead. There is zero chance that CCP is touching moon operations until other, more lucrative income streams are first ensured for the null sec cartels.

This CSM election wasn't exactly won by nullsec-bloc candidates, you know? There is enough diverse representation, quite a few independents (and some inbetween).

You got enough friendly people on there to care for PvE and highsec content, unless your expactations are beyond sane (which might be the case, rereading your OP).

I mean it in the sense that he shouldnt be engaged, provoked, etc, but rather ignored, and hopefully he gets the help he needs from those who can provide it.

Thread should just be locked. I'm surprised he hasn't been IP banned for his own good yet.

Personal abuse?
Really, good effort there.

When in doubt, go running to the ISD to shut down a thread.

Show me the personal abuse.
You can say anything you like about this thread, but I am not abusing anyone in it.
Other than the fact that I am making people like you uncomfortable by stating the obvious.

I would love to see the actual proof you have of these allegations towards my fellow CSM 8 members.

Seriously.

And not just your idea that what Soundwave says = what the null reps on the CSM want to come to pass.

It was won by the nullsec candidates overwelmingly but not as much as I expected.
IMHO if you want something closer to the representation of the CSM being what the true player base is, the elections needs compulsary sufferage.

Un-freaking-believeable.

We have elections with the old voting system. You don't like the results and press for change.

CCP changes the voting system, we get CSM 8 fair and square and you STILL don't like it.

Your solution: MAKE people vote?

That begs the question, when CSM 9 (via compulsory voting) delivers the SAME results as CSM 8 (because many high sec characters are alts and many real high sec people accept the idea that high sec should have limits), what are you going to suggest then Darth?

Un-freaking-beliveable the way some people "think" (put that in quotes for a reason).

Hi, Dinsdale.

Your list is pretty good as far as it goes, but I'm afraid you've only seen page 1. I'll summarise the rest of the list

4) End trading as a hi-sec activity with punitive taxation. 90% of the difference between the sale price and the NPC mineral base price will be deducted by the hi-sec factions.

5) All datacore agents to be moved to lo-sec. NPC 0.0 to gain datacore agents. R&D will no longer be a hi-sec activity.

6) Empire faction navy rats will attack pirate faction ships on sight.

7) Hi-sec players to address PvP area players as "my Lord/Lady" (as appropriate) on pain for a 30 day ban for the first offence.

8) Each 0.0 player to be allowed to rename as they please a hi-sec character once per 30 days subscribed. (No more GoT spoilers please)

9) Hi-sec players to have their subscription fees increased by 50% (PLEX will only grant 20 days of game time)

10) NPCs will now no longer react to players with low sec status.
