The best thing I could get out of it in pyfa was a over sized rail sniping HAC. As for torps it just got to many fitting issues, both in powergrid and cpu to put up a fitting that could survive and apply heavy damage in the 20-30km range window. Basically CCP should go for torps(not making it a simple sniper hac obsoleting ship) and giving it the proper fitting and durability for the job.

I couldn't see any use for it in pyfa. Fit with blasters, it's far inferior to the Tornado and Talos. Fit with rails, it's inferior to the Tornado and Oracle. Fit with torps, it's a slightly more mobile, even more weakly tanked Raven which requires significant painter support to apply DPS to other BCs and as such is clearly inferior to the Tornado.

Best I can get out of it... nanofit w/ 2 BCU of course is 880DPS (not saying you can really apply that against anything sub BS) at around 40K range with jav torps.

Best part- your tank is WAY worse than a drake. Your faster..... but your not going to be out running anything. If you fly the drake, don't fly the naga- as it performs sub par in every way shape and form. Unless you have a blob at your back- pick the other BC's

Correction: 8 highs, 8 turrets, and 8 launcher slots. The launcher bonuses are for Seige launchers only I'm afraid. With all level 5 skills, it can fit 8 T2 seige launchers. With 3x BCS II and rage torps, it gets a very healthy volley somewhere in the 8k range (don't have it in front of me atm) just over 1000 dps.

I tried a few common fits for defense, such as buffer, passive, and nano. The cap on the Naga sucks balls. So I didn't bother with an active tank. Buffer fitting is a waste of time. Got about 30k EHP even with 3 hardeners. No resist bonuses unlike the Drake. However, it had a healthy 410dps paper passive recharge rate if one goes all out 4x SPRs, 3x LSEIIs 3x shield rechargers, and 3x Purger rigs. But this kills your dps and has 0 EM resist. Can always change rechargers for hardeners, though.

Unfortunately, the lack of a drone bay makes the passive fit all but useless for PvE.

The best fit imo was a nano fit. Can get nearly 2000m/s without implants (MWD fit) and has 21 sensor strength. So that 27km range on the torps can be made easily enough. Use the mids for tackle and TP, spare low for nanofiber, and rigs for speed/nano rigs and you've got a pretty reasonable nano-facemelter. No fitting rigs required. A low-end CPU implant may be required for extreme fits or poorer skills. One can always go with Arbalest launchers to fix that and just use faction ammo.

Or, and I haven't tried this in pyfa yet, fit it with 8 HMLs and have some fun that way. It should be able to do more dps than a Drake and speed tank reasonably well.

From what I can see. The Minmatar and Caldari Tier 3 battle-cruisers are the better mobile platforms of the 4. When it comes to damage projection around warp disruption range (20-30km) and damage application. The Caldari Teir 3 battle-cruiser is superior to its Minmatar counter part (unless you account for damage selection, then whatever). It's the second in terms of defence or first (armarr tier 3 battle-cruiser is first or second don't remember). It doesn't have the highest velocity, but better defence makes up for that.

I've also been playing around with it's launcher hard-points and bonuses as they are now. I may have possible solutions to making them more viable in 2 - 4 pilot fleets. I'm pretty sure, with its bonuses to explosion velocity, rigs, and possibly a stasis webifier or target painter. The ship should preform very well close range and apply much of its damage to battle-cruisers (Maybe as good or better than the Gallente tier 3 battle-cruiser).

Although, when I first heard about it's bonuses I was much more interested in the travel time of siege missiles on this ship and putting out as much damage as possible @ range (120km) on a battle-cruiser/battleship. This would scale in terms of 0.0 large fleet engagements where this thing would be a very effective counter to battleships and capitals.

There may be wide spread use of these (working much like a drake does now with more range and damage).

Meh! I'm feeling the blaster setup the most, because of the range. The turret set-up will see alot of use, in my opinion.

Well this was the best I could do in pyfa with it, 600+ DPS(after the rail buff) at 99+49km with 32k EHP what actually was a bit better than what the Oracel could do at this ranges(however this might be different now with the damage bonus on it). I agree that it did/does lack a lot of focus and EHP to be a become a serious torpedo platform.
