Hello all! Myself and a couple friends are working on a space themed video game, called Dark Galaxies.

I am wondering if anyone out there knows or understands how EVE renders it's space. Right now, we are using a skybox supplied with a static texture of stars and a distant galaxy. I love the way EVE does it though, it looks really fluid and how the stars and space dust just flow nicely and seamlessly.

Thank you in advanced for any help!

[This game is no way related to EVE nor is it to compete with CCP. This is a single-player with co-op addons video game]

I think eve skybox was procedurally generated on some pretty powerful computers and it took days to make them all. Its all in one of the old fanfest videos and devblogs.
