There is one reason why they need to finish incarna: so i can gank those jita spammers. Risk vs Reward they said... Come on lets add some risk to spamming Pirate

If you're spending "most of your time" in the captain's quarters, you're playing the WRONG game.
It sounds to me like you're against this, not because you think it's bad, but because it would be different.
If so, why? If it serves a real purpose in the context of New Eden, why shouldn't CCP do it?

Incarna was a mistake because of the Nexus store not because of Walking In Stations.

Walking In Stations can really enhance the player experience for EVE.

The Nexus Exchange was nothing more than a money grab on top of a subscription fee.

If you don't want to walk in stations you don't have to but I want it. I want to go into a player owned bar, drink a player-created booster, watching a vid screen that displays a feed from a player-created-camera drone out in the system somewhere while another player flies out to it and hacks it to show a different feed...

I want to buy clothing created by players. I want player owned store fronts. I want interaction with DUST 514 bunnies.

I want corporation meetings where people can pull up maps of systems and point things out. There is a -ton- of awesome stuff that can add to EVE and would grow EVE's playerbaes without negatively impacting the rest of the game (being Internet Spaceships.)

I want corporate offices to be there. I want to see trophies in the corp office. I want to see player-made furniture. I want to be able to walk to the corporate hangar and see all the ships.

Walking In Stations should focus on supporting Internet Spaceships but it isn't a mistake.

While the CQ is a nice addition (it's cool to 'relax' and watch TV - if there were anything interesting to watch) I'd have to agree that actually making it more interactable with other people would make it much better. I honestly don't see why they cannot do this since they already implemented something like this in DUST before matches, yet it's really even more worthless than the CQ. I'd love to chill with my docked corp mates and maybe even play minigames together? And, as many have said before, it would bring that glorious character creator to life since as of now all we mostly see is a portrait.

But I guess making ships prettier is more important. Ugh

Exploring abandoned space wreck and installations would be well within the current spec, could easily be limited to a few dozen players.
Similarly, added a few ship bridges to wander around solo, would hard tax the current set up (and I know about pods, but surely the Jove tech has a solution to this).
Neither of these would significantly impact FiS. It seem such as waste to have come so far with WiS and then bottle it due to a very vocal minority.

maybe if I could put a couple of my Exotic Dancers in my Capt's Quarters and ask them to dance for me, like a true Gallente, I might use it more often....

Don't get me wrong, the IDEA of WIS is a decent one. Incarna on the other hand was the mistake. A few years ago they released a tech demo of WIS that was slimmed down graphically and expanded much more then what was released. The problem is CCP decided they wanted Crysis style graphics and poored much more time and effort into it and failed horribly with what is now Incarna/CQ.

We need WiS. Open the door.
Most of those ship balancing crap it's just a waste of time, they're doing it every year.

in 2007 i've thought it's a sci-fi simulator, not an "e-sports" game. I'm not a teenager, how would i like it much?

Don't worry about the trolls. Their arguments basically amount to "OMG I AM AFRAID OF CHANGE", you can take solace in the fact that both Hilmar and Lander have said they want avatars in EVE, they just need to develop the gameplay for them first.

Avatars will be getting meaningful gameplay, when that happens is anyone's guess.

You should learn to read and understand written words, instead of reading what you believe people write.

But, anyway, i agree. I'm not against WiS. I'm all for it, as long as it's not pointless and supports the actual game.

I don't care for WiS so no thank you.

I would rather CCP spent that development time making constructable stargates so I can go to new star systems or sprucing up the UI like what we saw in the art panel at fan fest.

WiS has nothing interesting to offer other than a 3D social environment.

I'd like to think CCP will get around to it, but frankly I've lost hope with CCP. Open the god damned door.
