You need twenty?

Actually this could be really interesting. Get your corp to fit out armor tanked Skiffs heavily tanked against EM (their best native resist), and start mining in a near-depleted icefield where everyone is together. Then 'warp to 0' in a couple of in-corp smartbombing battleships that are set up with EM smartbombs, and kill all the competition while barely breaking the tanks of your own ships.

You'll get to minus 10 on the battleship pilots, but who cares? That's what the new tags are for.

It's fine if you're offering to sell the asteroid for a profit.

Read the latest dev-blog about Ice mining.

The reason they did this was, despite "the efforts of certain ambitious players" Twisted, too much ice was available.

We would simply be helping CCP maintain the value of Ice and Ice products.
Everybody keeps telling me to read them.
I have read them right after they got publicized.
I had three beer at that time.

More and more i learn, that i can't remember what was in them. ^_^

OMG this.

Think about it.

You just camp the spot and everybody who wants in has to PAY for the privilege to mine ...

Also, watching ice bears try and kill each other in failfit combat ships would be funny. As. Hell.
Twisted
Watch them kill each other, warp in and suicide gank the victors, then use alts to loot the whole field, because you can.

Watching the bears that farmed incursions try to mount counter attacks to our legitimate running of highsec incursions in blackbirds was funny as hell Bear

We couldn't counter them because we were laughing too hard Lol

Watching you take over an hour to finish a MOM was funnier to us, then when we heard you lost that many ships & didn't get paid for finishing with a fleet under 30 was iceing on top the cake Lol

Unless I am misunderstanding something, there is no guarantee of another ice anomaly respawning in the same system after 4 hours.

You are misunderstanding. The anoms will only appear in systems that now have icebelts ( a few ammar systems though won't have these anoms ) I'm assuming that once the last icecube gets depleted the 4 hour ticker for that system starts counting down

So ice belts deplete down to one cube then disappear... only to reappear 4 hours later...

So all the miners on a particular belt will be within Ice Miner range of one cube... Like pigs at the trough.

So all the targets will be within 10kms (give or take) of a known, bookmarkable location...

I think the job of scout just got a tad easier, especially if a survey scanner can determine how many more cycles the miners will be at the belt for...

Are the new ice anoms behind an acceleration gate like some other anoms, or are they in open space like grav sites?

If they can be scanned down to 100% accuracy with onboard scanners like sleeper sites, then I expect them to not have acceleration gates. Which makes sense, as they are "natural" phenomena.
