I'm confused.
How is increasing SP, which makes all the difference, won't make any difference?

And it's based on devblog entry on odyssey mining changes.

Being teh freightergankbear automatically puts you below missionbear and minerbear in carebear hierarchy.

If you're about to make "this will make eve un-eve" argument, odds are you are defending some utterly horrible mechanics against a good change.

You can only put so much SP into any one ship.

that's funny because you're the only one that has gone from the dev blog, to crying about high sec mining being dead and pvp being too hard for your small brain.

the rest of use can quite clearly see how the dev blog states great changes for mining and industry.

It's years to max out any given ship.

Okay, cool. Problem is your logic is skipping a few key middle steps.

No. Just a troll.

Because the skills I'm raising with that SP don't affect my ship in the slightest. If you can kill me with 2M SP now, you'll be able to kill me with 2M SP in a year. Or in two years. Once you start to beat me, you can keep beating me, and you can start in a month. So my SP increase makes no difference.

The devblogs state that mineral composition for high-end ores will change and that ice will be moved into anomalies. You're stating that “mining belts ain't gonna be worth it, so every ice field will be camped”. I want to know what this is based on, because it is not what the devblog says at all.

So, again: what is your assertion based on?

A very basic caracal flown by a month old scrub is a very dangerous ship for any frigate. Even an hour old newbee in an ibis packing a t1 warp disruptor is a threat to a dreadnought.

I have four logi ships that are effective in a fleet that take a day to train into.

Which is why we get all the Ice camped. Mining belts ain't gonna be worth it, so every ice field will be camped.

Because they arn't camped now...

They're botted to hell now, which is the entire reason for this change.

.. And probably this thread, too.

EVE's dirty little secret is that the entire player built economy that CCP likes to tout is built on a Highsec bot backbone.

Just be glad the promised "move ice to nullsec" change apparently is dead on arrival -- although, I hear there's only going to be 1 ice anom per highsec sector, which will despawn, so... Effectively moved to null, heh.

You don't need maxed out skills to fly anything in this game, not even a Titan.

Which would be about 3x of PvP SP I got.
So I don't have to worry about PvP for a few more years after all.

Can you fit a tank? can you shoot guns or missiles? can you fly a frigate/destroyer/cruiser? if so you already a fair chunk covered, those skill people train up so that they can tank or shoot rats, they matter in PvP, as do most of the other core skills required to fly most ships, including industrials. There's a huge crossover between PvE and PvP when it comes to skills, you just fail to realise it.

Yeah, I have all bases of becoming a victim to higher SP forum baiters covered. No, thank you.

SP isn't the defining factor in being a victim, the defining factor is you. If you answered yes to all 3 questions, you have a good basis for PvP to build upon by learning to use those skills, ships and weapons effectively.

As Baltec1 said you can only put so many SP into a ship or weapon class before you hit the ceiling, that ceiling is fixed, and hitting it doesn't make you good at Eve. Experience and more importantly attitude are what makes you a success at PvP, and frankly your attitude stinks.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Carebears get introduced into a pvp environment and Null bears get their **** done at a great rate.

Because Industrial Corps don't fight or contribute to the war effort in a meaningful way.

Are you serious? Where do you think the ships you use come from?

Confirming that there are no industrial corps in the CFC. Nope, not one.

You forgot to confirm that all caps are built in highsec from highsec minerals because nullsec and lowsec have no industry chains whatsoever.
