Hello all.

So Im intrested in Trying out FW. My standings only allow me to go with Caldari and amar.

But my question is Where should i go ? Whats Some good advice for an old pvp'er Looking to begin Some Fw.

Where should i base out of ? Where are most of the caldari milita staging at?

I've looked on line and can find plenty of info for gal and minni pilots but not much for caldari and amar.

Any help or advice would be greatly Appreciated..

Caldari Militia that set up in high sec are mainly at Ichoriya, though more than a few seem to still be parked in Nourvukaiken (I wouldn't reccomend it.) In low sec you'll find corporations set up in Asakai, Hykanima and Yvangier (perhaps basing out of Heydieles, I'm not certain.)
It is a target rich environment, certainly during NA timezones.

Another quick question.

Should i stay with the npc milita Or try joining a Player corp? I currently dont have anyway to Speak on TS or vent Can hear though. So i assumed Player corps would be out of the question.

I am deaf as well. That is why i choose not to bother the hearing people. I stay in the npc corp as not to annoy them. They will never understand, even though i retained my speech at 100 percent. (Read lips) i would suggest a good corp that is understading and patient. I get pegged a farmer a lot. Dont be shy and say you can read faster than most and type faster than most. Its what i got. :)Blink

Hm.
Amarr or caldari. That is a dogmatic question :D
Caldari have some great corps too. Look at TheKiller122 and his alliance. Greg and superchair are good fcs. But calmil lacks extremely on organisation and have a ton of awoxers. In cal/gal fw zone you will get less fights and more small gang plus more real 1vs1.

In comparison to calmil, amarrmil is really good organised. Almost no awoxers and if there are some they are mostly set to red with 80% of militia within minutes. Great Teamwork and a lot dedication.
But in amarmil you will be outnumbered and underodg like in no other militia. A lot more big gang fights and really good fcs are here too.

Hard question. I was 9 months in amarrmil, tried calmil for a month and went back to amarrmil. Lack of organisation, too many total noobs and too much awoxing was the reason why I chose to get back to amarrmil.

How do you figure? From what I've read and observed, Amarr US TZ has the upper hand...primarily because of Fweddit's huge numbers. Amarr might be outnumbered in terms of farmers but they certainly don't lack real pvpers. It's just that the pvpers aren't into the sov grind and plexing to gain territory. But then again, who is.

We are currently based in hykanima. I would strongly suggest if you are going to join fw base out of low sec going to ich is lame and one of the biggest problem with caldari is too many base in high sec. contact cory braum for consideration in dce.

Ok ok reading to fast. Yes dean is right. Being an underdog will, A get you more fights. B. experience. I got alot from being gal for many years, maybe not now but trust me, i got my ass kicked in the last war mechanics or not. Ammar is where to go but fly gal ships because minnies ships, sorry they get eaten for breakfast.

Calmil seems to be taking a breather atm in the face of the minnie farming horde.

TBH it really depends on wether you want to get LP for isk or wether you want to find good fights.
Farming - minnie probably (not usre really as I CBA to farm and not upto speed on the best way to convert LP to isk.)

GF's - any militia as it is really about how you fly rather than the militiia specifically.

That is the Way, the Tao.

Balance is everything.

I can figure because I was a month in calmil :P
And yes amarrmil has maybe the best or almost the best numbers in terms of pvp. But 30 good pvpers cant stand vs 80 not good pvpers that were farmers a day earlier and have now bought 60mil sp toons and additionally a ton of ogb toons^^
The day CCP fixes ogb will be the day when some people will have to learn pvp completely anew.

Please join Gallente FW. Please. Did I mention that I would appreciate it if you joined Gallente FW? I need more people to fly with, otherwise I wont be able to PvP.

You are our only hope against the Caldari War Machine. Sad
