Wanted to check with you wh pilots, is anyone else having problems with dotlan ? The dotlan blog or home page doesn't mention it.

I'm getting terrible data lag and complete blocks of data being skipped for hours. Also cann't connect sometimes.

Confirmed. Wondering if this is an API problem. I've seen nothing to indicate so from CCP, but it seems to have gotten alot worse over the past few days. Anyone?

Sorry. I had various problems in the last 24h. A rouge script was filling up my diskspace 2 times causing database errors and performance problems.

The problem was solved at around 6am GMT this morning.

I'll see If I can write some updates on the blog but I guess I won't have that much time today.

My sympathies. Having your hard disk full of makeup powder must be really annoying. How do you get it out?

Hey Wollari, great product - has become invaluable.
I am getting the problem that some systems are being blacked out (in either black or white backgrounds). How do I fix this?

I am aware of my own ignorance and have checked my emotional quotient - thanks for asking

Don't know if its related, but for a good while Dotlan was bugged on my Google Chrome navigator. Systems i clicked would appear completely black, and stay black even after flushing temporary data.

Running into this lately as well... hope bumping it up gets it some notice

to clarify: only a handful of systems in each region, only Chrome, and not the same every day (so far)

Whatever problem this thread started as passed in November... this system blackout on chrome is new since the latest crucible patch and the api changes (ie the last week or two)

Another bump for the Chrome issue. It's really annoying trying to highlight the text inside the black system circles...

the chrome bug is an issue with the flash that it uses that is built in to chrome ... iirc it will be updated when it gets updated in chrome ...

What we're actually doing is removing both hisec and PvP from the game entirely. It seems like the fairest way to solve this problem. - CCP Grayscale  - CCP troll BEST troll <3

As far as my browser understanding goes, it's an inherent problem in the way chrome decodes java/flash, I use chrome but also have an instance of IE9 running in the background for buggy inbeds

(P.S: I realise IE gets an awful rep these days but IE9 is a vast improvement on previous versions, which... isn't saying much but it's not a memory hog like it used to be)
