Also, wouldn't it be simpler to hire mercs to defend it against whatever damaged it in the first place, and let it recharge on its own?

Whether the pos is in high/low/null is a big question. Im sure some simple money could be made by offering pos repping services and even without inflated prices.

Nathan Jameson: If the pos is in highsec then mercs would need to wardec the attacker for defense, and that propably cant happen quickly enough due to the 24h timer.

You should propably ask for a price thats lower than a new pos.

A few people i know run a service to rep POS stuff while under attack, they do charge for the service and an element of trust is needed as defence/access would be needed for some although this shouldn't be hard to do as they need to trust you not to pop them while they do it.

Rates differ on the attackers/size of POS, but mail me in game and i'll get you a price.

I'm sure I could muster a few guys to rep a POS, but that all depends on where the POS is and how much you're offering. I know of a few newer players in need of isk who could easily strap on a few reps onto some T1 cruisers and help for a little while.

The questions on everyone's mind: Is it worth our time/effort? Or are you just jerking us around?

it takes 20 basilisks with 6 t2 large shield reps each (does anyone even use those?) about an hour and a half to rep up a large tower assuming 0% shields, so expect to pay a pretty penny for such a service (if one exists)
