Will PI get a boost with the next expansion?

I've heard rumors that PI will become more valuable in the future?
Is there an official source?

I'm asking because I had big interest in PI until I got told it is not very valuable at the moment e.g. time/effort not worth it.

After the patch we're giving the market some gentle supply restriction, like tying one wrist to the bedpost loosely with soft silk rope. Just enough to make things a bit more exciting for the market, not enough to make a safeword necessary.  -Fozzie

Anyone who says PI isn't worth it is a moron.

I'm making a plex a week from it with minimal effort.

When I started playing the best decision I made was to train all my characters for PI (even alts). It takes some time but after you trained enough characters, you don't have to worry about subscription because you will make enough money to use plex on all your accounts. And after you set up a decent PI plan with long cycles it takes minimal effort . Of yourse to make PI worthwhile you have to go to at least low sec but its not that hard to find a quiet lowsec system with low tax pocos for neutrals. And with blockade runner the logistics are also almost riskfree.

Pretty much PI kept me in the game while I was in skillqueue offline mood a few times.

PI is literally free isk, literally. on a good planet it's a lot of free isk. No buff needed. Once you set it up it just prints isk.

Even in high-sec you can make good isk from PI

Its what? 18 planets per account (15 if you only have Interplanetary Consolidation to 4)
Once you've done your learning of best setups, finding a planet to provide any P2+ is easy, and its practically pure profit after a couple of days for no effort

Abit more effort gives you even more ISK, go out of high-sec and said ISK just jumps...

I did not hear this.

All I heard about PI was that it's exactly the kind of feature CCP will try and avoid making in the future (anti-social features).

When the devs say they hate PI and wish it was a mini game that wasn't part of EVE, not sure "boost" is what i'd be expecting.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

The PI buff comes from having Dust mercs in your corp or alliance take control of a planet. Low sec only, and initially only in Molden Heath.

PI alone completely funds everything I do in EVE with about 5 minutes effort a week.

But sure I guess you could buff it and let me start building an exponentially growing list of PI alts, each individual one funding two accounts, a fully grown account capable of supporting another 6.

Oh god I'll have to hire Chinese farmers.

Probably not. Its too much of a solo play thing to be a priority with CCP.

When Dusk gets more mature there will probably be more extensive tie ins to PI however.
