How does the capsule work? Is it account-bound? Is it character bound?

Please let us obtain this with plex!

A sizable part of the community (myself included) don't have the real-life ISK to spare for this;
Please, please, please let us buy/pre-order this the same way we currently 'buy' our regular subscription time!

Thank you!

p.s. Looking forward to the next decade, CCP!

Does anyone have any information on that code card? I missed that part of the presentation, someone was talking over it.

Personally I think I should be given it for free, because I'd totally put the Rifter USB hub on my work desk and try to recruit the other workers to EVE Big smile

yes!

apart from potential legal issues (e.g how do you tax plex?) CCP shouldn't care at all, because they are paid $€£ for any PLEX created by players anyway (i.e they get their money), so it would be a nice opportunity to increase their sales of *everything* (hinting at other eve store items as well tbh).

Only thing that interests me are the gnosis bpcs, definetely not worth 150 bucks though.

After the patch we're giving the market some gentle supply restriction, like tying one wrist to the bedpost loosely with soft silk rope. Just enough to make things a bit more exciting for the market, not enough to make a safeword necessary.  -Fozzie

the mystery one?

nope, it's a mystery, and will do ~special stuff~ over the course of the next 10 years.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

They should just make the US version more expensive.

Then, US people would whine, obviously, because they have to pay more,
while the EU people will tell them that they actually pay the same now.
That makes no sense, right ?

This currency conversion logic is hilarious ... and makes no sense to me.
You pay the same ******* amount, depending on where you live at.

I have no idea why you people believe you have to pay more than them,
just because currency conversion tells you that. For people in the US,
it's still 150 bucks. For people in EU it's 150 bucks.

The amount and value is the same, for the person who pays the money,
disregarding where he lives.

Somebody please enlighten me about what detail i'm missing in this logic.

Please consider the fact that i have never left my country,
so i might actually really be missing something here. :)

it's both 150 dollars, and 150 euros. so when you convert dollars in to euros, it's less than 150 euros.

As I was yelling at the screen repeatedly during the presentation,

"Shut up and take my money!"

Yes, i've noticed that, but that doesn't really explain to me why people whine about it.

It seems that people believe those from the US pay less ... but how can that be the case ?

Detail? You are not missing a detail.

You are missing the entire basics of how the world economy and currency works.

Claiming that the numeric value is the only factor, and that the currency it is in is irrelevant, is just so mindblowingly uneducated that it frightens me, deeply.

Let's give it a shot tho. Let's assume you make 50.000USD a year.

Now you move to Sweden. The USD to SEK exchange rate is around 1:6. Do you think you should make 50.000SEK or 300.000SEK a year ( we'll leave tax rate, cost of living etc. aside )?

And It wouldn't hurt to add one plex to price, and cut it off on taxes. I'm sending mail anyway, make their mailbox explode!

Hilmar is expecting a huge crash in the value of the euro versus the dollar. It'll be 1:1 in October.

Iceland is a member of the EEC so despite not being in the EU they have to deal with certain rules, including VAT (or we'll just sell the silly little island to highest bidder).

The conversion isn't mathematically correct, but it's close enough and simple.

If it's too much money for you, then shut up and don't buy it.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

What do you think the VAT in Portugal is, what do you think it is in Ireland? It's not the flat 30% that CCP is charging... and were do you think the difference goes? ( hint: it's not to the EU coffers ).
