The United Alliance - Like United Nations [just an idea, would never fly]

This will never happen but... CCP Soundwave said something on the fanfext stream that sparked this idea.

He said that in order to better eve online, and make supers regain their value you should self destruct them to get the number to around 10.

While this was obviously a joke, it made me think: What if there was a sort of galaxy wide ban on the use of supers in combat as some sort of violation of universally agreed upon law. Like the use of chemical weapons or other such is treated on our own planets global political structure.

It wont end their use at all.. But maybe this is somehow helped enforced by ccp not in any strictly godmode means but more like maybe slightly tougher fleets that are flown by ccp that attacks targets designated by this sort of Universal Council of alliances. It would really have to be a well known consequence of using these ships in any sort of mass destruction that would really deter their use.

They arent removed from the game forcefully unless legitimately caught and destroyed by one of these fleets or some how else removed from commission.

This would allow for smaller groups to take their own area's of space and truely change the political landscape of Eve, just a crazy idea tho, i know there are probably far too many cons to outweight this but it could be constructive to theorycraft?

You're right it would never happen. It's a meaningless concept in the universe of Eve. Like space honour, it only favours the loser.

No it wouldn't. Alliance would also have to shed 90% of their members, abandon their space, shut down their out of game services and comms, and have the knowledge and experience of fleet doctrines, sov mechanics, metagaming, etc sugically lobotomised from their brains.

It might be more practical to encourage "smaller groups" to gain these things than to rely on larger ones deliberately handicapping themselves.

Yea and when a big fleet meets a little fleet the bigger one only fights with enough ships to make it a fair fight, and no one uses E-war because it's lame and no one tries to take anyone elses space and we stop ganking in high-sec and all live happily ever after and CCP can put in walking in stations so we can all join hands and sing in a circle, right before we all grab you by the shoulders and shove you out of the nearest airlock you peace loving hippie scum.
