inb4 nullbears happy tears hotdrop, how long do you think tritanium/pyerite prices would stay above 0.5 ISK after Odyssey?

Being teh freightergankbear automatically puts you below missionbear and minerbear in carebear hierarchy.

If you're about to make "this will make eve un-eve" argument, odds are you are defending some utterly horrible mechanics against a good change.

Well, we're hisec. We're here to be nerfed. Should not be news.

My guess is that prices will drop some 30%, back to where they were before drone alloys were removed. Bear

You do realize that when ore prices drop, so does the cost of a whole bunch of other stuff?

Stuff which takes more than ore is not gonna drop, and whoever considered mining as a source of things now must go null or die.

Is there a rule against misleading titles which I missed?

That's not true at all. Stop being alarmist. Highsec miners will be just fine. Highsec ice miners stand to make pretty good profits.

You do know that when the price of ore drops, bounties don't? Lol

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

Some people will always mine. No price change will alter that.

Ice mining could get interesting though.

Of course I do. Not sure what your point is, unless you're implying something about the increased purchasing power of ratting or mission running.

Hisec miners are gonna go extinct.
Highsec ice fields are gonna stop existing, as people are gonna mine them dry in 15 minutes and poof, no ice for 4 hours.

Last week CCP banned 99% of players for using EVEMon, this week they are making all high-sec miners go extinct (70% of the playerbase, according to one reliable source). Wow, CCP... No wonder OP is so depressed.

I just had an idea.

Gotta make the "best eulogy for hisec mining" contest.
Whoever wins can have all my (about-to-become-worthless) tritanium.

And you base this on what, exactly?

Highsec miners are going to go extinct based on some probably minor decrease in profitability that they didn't even have before the drone loot nerf anyway?
Highsec ice fields becoming scarcer somehow wouldn't equate to a large boost in the cost of ice which would entice players even more to seek out ice systems and mine them for themselves?

As always pubbies don't look at the big picture.

90% is minor decrease in profitability. Basically, not worh noting. haha.
Ice fields are gone for good, dear sir, read the changes more carefully, please, as "seeking" has nothing to do with it now.
