Vigil for solo or small scale engagements?

Hey guys,

while you can often see Griffins or Crucifers and sometimes even Mauluses in small scale faction warefare, I so far have never seen the Vigil. Just out of curiosity, did anybody of you ever flown this ship with success for PVP?

The only scenario I can imagine at the moment is to use the Vigil for target painting stuff for a Stealthbomber fleet. Anyone ever tried the Vigil for solo-PVP?

I would probably try ti fly it like a dual TD or dual damp condor. Obviously it will suck in comparison to a condor, however it will still kill all ab/turret frigs it will just take longer. The one big bonus i see in using it would be that no one will expect much from a vigil so you will get a lot more fights than you would in a condor.

If you want a really lol pvp ship i recommend the tested and true Battle Heron.

The vigil suffers a bit compared to the other whatever ccp calls ewar frigs nowadays because the other racial ewar modules tank for themselves. Damps, TD's and Jammers can all reduce or eliminate outgoing damage from your target. TPs don't do this at all, so you'll basically want to ignore the tp bonus if you're going vigiling.

a corp mate of mine took out a battle heilos that is lol funny and awesome

as for the vigil i eft the **** out of it and it just sucks.... i thimk the maulus is amazing. have a few nice solo kills and draw vrd most dessies. they pop drones and we are stale mate


with hobs my maulus is 125dps its nice
