I really don't intend to bring up a sore subject, nor do I intend to bring it up as a political matter. I was sent this link by a friend in the military and considering it mentions the crisis in Libya (which, if I'm not mistaken is where Vile Rat was at the time) I felt that this would be important to spread out to the Eve community... I apologize ahead of time if this is something that is too controversial for the forums and fully understand if the thread becomes locked.

How is he in a position to "blow the whistle"? He's an 85-year old ex-admiral who retired in 1987. The last time anything happened in Libya while he was in service was Operation El Dorado Canyon against Qaddafi in 1986. And he was commanding the Pacific Fleet at the time halfway around the world.

I think it's safe to say he's been out of the loop for awhile.
