Kosinski (Tron:Legacy, Oblivion) is directing both.

My dad took me to see The Black Hole when it first came out. I really enjoyed. Though even then it seemed a little dark for a Disney movie.

It'll be interesting to see what they do with a remake.

I've seen both Tron movies, and while I thoroughly enjoyed the second movie, I still think the original was the best. It was something that no one at the time had done or seemed capable of doing. It also came out at the time I was discovering computers.

Surrender is still your slightly less painful option.

He scared the bejeezus out of me as well. But he was such an interesting character.

Too bad Slim Pickens can't voice the goofy robot again......

Jeff Bridges better be in Tron 3.... as the Eve incarnation of him I demand this!

Never actually seen Black Hole so this is a first time for me.

Still... its sad how original thinking isnt cost effective anymore. Sad

Actually looking forward to both.

As for originality, Tron 3 we've all seen coming, imho there's more that can be done there without repeating the previous movies. And the black hole was a pretty awesome concept that didn't really get the movie it deserved - I wonder what can be done using modern methods. An even darker version with less hammy acting would be awesome. ZOMBIE CYBORGS.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

I remember seeing Black Hole and loving the look of it (outer space was a dark blue, not black).

But the ending elicited groans from seemingly the entire audience.

Even the biggest skeptics were not gonna buy going into a black hole and winding up in heaven/hell. That just sucked the wind out of the film right there.

I'm excited about seeing a more correct ending.

I remember The Black Hole being pretty awesome, way back when, and indeed, very un-Disney-like.

The new version will ASSPLOSIONS and LENS FLARES and an endearing little robot. Can't say much more. Bear

To this day , all I remember from Black Hole is the slow drift into DEATH into the center of OBLIVION. That movie scarred me. Big smile
