It's shady stuff, those drug dealers and pirate agents like to hide in there.

I think its some kind of giant space tumbleweed. But look at that crappy shadow from my beautiful cane!

Don't wanna scare you, but external shadows (your screenshot) and self shadows (blog) are a different matter. Hope we hear anything about that, too.

It's on Sisi right now, I looked earlier.

Didn't fly through any asteroids or test on the space station but the fancy new shadows were cast on the stargate I was flying around. It's a subtle but really nice difference.

EDIT: Also, new warp effect Shocked

Not on sisi but in the video blog it was mentioned as something being revamped along with engine trails.

When I fire my lasers they always hit you even if they don't ... and you're worried about a shadow on an asteroid?

I think after the V3 project, nebula, warp, cyno, doomsday and engine trail effects are finished it will totally look like a new game. Can't wait to slap some logos on ships, hope it's not a NeX thing tho...

I wish they would allocate more of the art department to those projects to finish them faster.

Eve ships are like the Golden Gate Bridge, as soon as they finish painting it, they have to start over at the other end.

How many hulls need to be redone before we get logos etc? how many YEARS at this rate.

??

Not sure I get your meaning, in the past year they've redone 4-5 hulls, so given there are over 30 hulls we're talking years.

You must have missed the part where all art resources were all tied up working on Incarna until very recently. They did, what, the Scorpion and the Maller in the first half of the year? And since the refocusing we've learnt they're doing the Raven, Comet and Incursus (at least) and adding four new BCs (and I'm assuming these will be V3 straight out of the gate), as well as doing nebulae, engine trails, shadowing and probably a whole bunch of other stuff I can't even remember right now.

TL;DR extrapolating from prior observations has dubious utility as the circumstances have changed. This process is only now fully getting underway.

Or, that's how I'm reading it. I could be wrong.
