Overview and game not functioning properly

Ok I will say thank you in advance for any help.
Here are my specs.
Mac Pro 2008
2X Xeon quad core 2.8GHz
6GB ram
Stock graphics card. I think radeon 2600
Intel SSD

Now the issue.

1. My overview for about 4 days now has been having issues. It will not always load new things in the area also if you leave an area then things will remain on the overview but be greyed out and not selectable. This becomes a really issue when everything is greyed out an not selectable. Also even loading new overviews or reloading the overview it is still having issues. Now if I wait for a while eventually it MIGHT fix it self. But not always. Also the overview will not be in the proper organization. Such as alphabetical or by type. But it does not do this unless you wait and it hopefully fixes itself. Also many times I wil have 4 or 5 times the things in the area. All duplicates obviously.

2. This might be unrelated but it is odd. I just switched from a trial account to a full account. So I got a retriever. It is fit with 2 strip miners. When I go into a field to mine I can not lock onto a asteroid until I get to 10km. The ships specs say 22 km as stock. So I am not sure how this could be. I have no rigs or anything limiting it. But still it is a problem.

Now I have deleted the game and re downloaded the dmg and I am still having this issue. I am not sure what this could be but it is to the point where it is very difficult to play this game and I have had no response from eve with a bug report.

Please help. I am so confused as to what it could be.

Edit: I just updated my OS to 10.8.3 from 10.8.2 I am still having the issue but it does seem to resolve faster. But still persistent.

I can confirm #1, the overview not updating properly, is an issue with me on OSX as well. This is really a game breaking problem that deserves some attention.
