I really wish Factional Warfare had more of an impact on Eve

I don't do it personally, but I rather do wish it'd be more in pervasive in the daily life of Eve Players (like how nullsec and OTEC is). I dunno, wouldn't it be cool to see the Gallente Federation in control of Jita one day?

(N)OTEC isn't a game mechanic and therefore shouldn't be compared to one.

Well I think CCP Soundwave said in his talks that he hated the fact that Faction Warfare didn't matter to the rest of EVE. I think he hopes to change that with Dust, but who knows. At least we know he doesn't like the fact either. I'm pretty sure he used the F word in his talk to emphasize the issue.

So OP is saying that it would be nice if FWers were able to capture empire highsec? Because tears about goons and goonpets invading Jita werent enough..now we want bloodthirsty crazed FW maniacs invading Jita as well...

..and what happens when you have super terribad gallente sec status...and jita gets flipped to gallente.... and your super awesome mega cool hauler full of expensive fittings gets OMGWTFBBQd by gallente faction police on the gate...

..this can go on for a while.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

From an immersion standpoint, it is a bit silly that there's a war going on yet you don't see it unless you sign up. Hopefully this is changed, no matter how much the faction war isk farmers and people that want a 100% static universe cry.

FW is broken because Caldari and Amarr are getting plowed in to the ground while the Minmatar are farming LP for iskies and there's no incentive for the Amarr or the Caldari to stop them because they're not fighting for moon goo or minerals.

No no no, I'm saying that'd it be cool for the FW mechanics in lowsec to have an effect on the constellation/region

I think the point being discussed is that nobody that isn't directly involved in faction war is affected in any way by that and couldn't tell that what is allegedly meant to be a big inter-empire war that is being decisively won by one side.

Hell plenty of the members of faction warfare corps and alliances don't even seem to notice that they're at war, I see them running missions in their faction battleships or mining in their barges in caldari highsec all the time. They're less effected by a huge inter-faction war than they are by the war I declare against them with my alliance.
