This is just something that will no doubt be a huge and massive effect on EVE due to an unceasing torrent of threads and ingame actions, when all that happened was some one probably had some orders on rigs and rig parts when the capital rig thread got announced.

from what i recall from D3 thread in Jita Park is that he suggested that a ccp dev was cherry picking threw private chat logs of some alliance leader who was doing strategic planning and then informed his ingame allies of said plans...

So i think a dev played the meta game but broke eula because it was not done ingame but inhouse and with dev tools not player ones...

We already knew that CCP can see everything that happens in their game, it would be stupid for them NOT to be able to.

well that was the implication i got from the leak was that there was nefarious use of this info... i mean ccp has every right to read chat logs... but to gain ingame advantage from viewing personal logs imo would be a clear violation...

The trick, though, is this: in this case, CCP is announcing their initial finding and bringing it to the CSM, instead of burying it until there's hell to pay. It only took one thread to get it noticed and acted on, right?

Ignoring the fact that D3 is a serial liar and an attention whore. There's this thing called proof that's required when people make accusations. Darius has provided none. It's a desperate grab for one more second of attention before he fades into irrelevancy.

agreed... tbh if there was cheeting and it was dealt in house i would rather no know about it anyways...
