If I may ask... how is using a game mechanic an exploit?

EDIT: Let me qualify my question. How is shooting at a corp mate that is allowed an exploit?

The reason why you can't boot people in space anymore is due to exploits of being shot at in space in wars and other such thing then leaving corp which promptly brought in concord to kill the attackers.

Answer carefully now... since "because people killed my members" is not an answer.

Who are you to say what that mechanic is meant for? CCP is well aware what we do with it, and they have chosen to allow it to continue. I've always felt that many of the devs (perhaps secretly) love us evil bastards and deliberately leave us avenues to wreak some carnage and despair. We are the content creators, after all, the ones who write the stories that bring people to this game.

I hear all the time that that mechanic is meant to be used for friendly in-corp sparring, but I have yet to hear that from a dev.

AWOXing is a great use of the game mechanics. There is enough in game information to allow someone to make a logical choice about who they invite into their corp.

The thing is everyone around you is a risk, and I for one when I started was one of the players that stayed away from others to minimize the risk to myself. But then I found you have to take the risk and trust someone to have fun.

In short moderate who joins your corp, if they AWOX you, it is just a mixture of bad luck and poor understanding of players and game mechanics.

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

Why isn't he crying about buffing ewar drones? Clearly, the problem here was that his Hobgoblin sd-300s weren't effective enough.


I mean, that Gila was completely prepared for any situation....scram, web, and zero knowledge of pvp.

OP should be thanking his new friends for relieving him of this burden.

On more detailed review of the kill mail maybe we have this backwards. The OP I'm thinking failed to Awox the two destroyers. This seems clear due to the fitting of point and ewar drones.

Shame on you OP for your "exploitation" of game mechanics you feel are broken.
